Brenda Holloway " The Artistry of " UK Tamla Motown only ....Another brilliant album , lots of tracks were singles which kinda shows the quality of this set ..... Great thread ....cheers ,Eddie
  6. Apparently after this backing track was liberated from the Motown vaults , Motown started to put the " bleeps " on their backing tracks to prevent the same thing happening again .Fantastic Mike Terry sax work on this track .....Cheers ,Eddie

  10. Totally shocked at Teena's passing at such a young age , as Rob highlighted ,there was always at least one killer ballad on her albums to showcase her amazing voice to full effect .This duet with Rick James is IMHO ,one of the best of it's kind : Rest in peace Teena .....Eddie

  22. Here's an underplayed side that I like to spin when I get chance , it's the flip to the popular " Shadow of a memory " and bears the same backing as " Lucky Lady " by The Jones Brothers ....
