  1. Really sad news , I hadn't known Mick as long as many on here ,though I'd known his name via Soul Source .My heart goes out to his wife Ali, and his many friends on here .A lovely fella , always a pleasure to be in his company , we will all miss him so much .

I remember a guy telling me that he went to Soul Bowl ,and John had more Eddie Parker's than Billy Sha Rae ,so ended up buying Billy's version .....I guess John at Soul Bowl would be the man to ask ,perhaps it was in general ,a one box find ? You don't hear of many copies being found out in the wild .Though Jack Ashford himself has provided a small amount .

  20. I asked Jack Ashford on FB recently how many "I'm Gone " we're pressed , he replied " I have no idea " ....
  21. When I was at Wigan oldies one night ,someone brought a copy of Eddie Parker "I'm gone " for Richard to play ,and I distinctly remember him saying " I remember this from the Torch " .I was told I was wrong later , glad to see it was actually played at Hose Street .
