How sad is this,have known Gary for so many years and have only ever been such good friends,Went round to he and Piddys room a few years ago at Prestatynn and had breakfast and a fuckin good laugh and only the other week bumped into him at Thorne(he was on form as usual) on the 28 of august we became Facebook friends how ironic.Bless you my old buddy and thanks for your true friendship over the years and Piddy bless you too,try and be strong at this so sad time..Sweet Memories.and much love.Gilly and Nicola

Might be wrong here but i think the guy who ran the Yeoman was called Mel,he and his wife lived in Willington,i remember he was having problems getting the equipment down to Mackworth so as i drove my dads moggy van at the time he asked me to lend a hand( i did)If i also remember Hector used to pop a long and play a few harder core northern sounds.The Derby Evening Telegraph used to print the Yeomans top 5 northern chart on the entertainments page of the paper.I also think Mel owned a small club in Derby he may of bought The Blue Note from Dave Milton ?

  16. Hi Mak,i was told recently hes back in Derby not dead sure,I remember i went to his 21st held in the Sadle bar at the Willington House Hotel(no longer there)
  17. Not knockin it in anyway its a truely fantastic record,bought my first copy for £14 at a Bedford (by the river) nighter many moons ago,been lucky to have found 2/3 copies in the more recent times should of held em back me thinks.Enjoy whoever won or wins it.

Well ive read it and it is brill,he never ceased to amaze me on the many occasions i spent time with him and Susan his wife,the cleverest guy ive ever met in my life.Now thanks to you in your very educational maner youve done the business and documented it for all to read(btw me and Tats have some movie footage taken in 1990 at his house)
