  1. My age, not seen that one advertised, must pay more attention.
  2. Horse & Groom I think you mean Sue.
  3. Stanton stopped making cartridges, don't know if the brand has been brought back as I have seen a few for sale lately someone may know. Anyway if you just want to replace the styli and stick with your original cartridge I found a few ways to do this, you could risk one of the copies off the internet lots of cheap lookalikes or a Japanese company called Jico made replacements for all the popular Stanton range The option I went for was a Pickering stylus Stanton & Pickering were sister companies and pickering are still going, lots of cartridges from the companies had the same bodies & workings as each other (to save money) and the only difference was the label stuck on the product. So lots of styli were interchangeable. Stanton 500AL = Pickering D1507DJ the two styli don't look alike but trust me they fit & work. Will post you a pic of them tomorrow Chris.
  4. Back up mixer never had to use apart from at home for playing with Vestax MDM 410 This has ballanced outs again in fact all the outputs you need, rec, line out, booth with adj level, this also has a USB line in/out. Again all the channels have full eq. Click to enlarge image.
  5. I use one of these, Kam audio pro 1500, nice bit of kit, eq controls on every channel, balanced outputs as well as normal line outs, output level can be set by small presets on the rear to stop people cranking it up too much this is great as long as the DJ doesn't know where they are /what they're for/ or has no screwdriver
  6. I don't recall any live turns there either Mick, one time I do remember Edwin Starr should have been doing a live appearance but he never turned up, we all did.

  10. Here you go, here's the scan of it. EDIT, picture will not load.
  11. Not living up to your user name, the poster was taking the P when they asked is it all OVO.
  12. To me a DJ or even presenter should have a flexible range of tones/voices and use them to attract the listening ear and make them take notice, to me she just sounds flat and uninteresting.
  13. The voice and patter coming over sounds flat and un-enthusiastic.
  14. Don't do what we did, walking round parts of the Bronx asking some of the street guys if they had any old 45s ? you might gets some guns, no wonder we got some funny looks.
  15. Happy New Year to all members and the staff, doing it now as won't be on too late.
  16. Heard it earlier, not sure it's archie bell though.
  17. That's what I thought too.
  18. Was played last month at our local do, Date Demo, I won't take this opportunity to plug the venue though.
  19. Bloody Hell, it had to happen, the scene is dying. Normally about 10 soul nights on in Sheffield on 27th.
