Frankie and Johnny "I'll hold you" UK decca demo went for £1200 yesterday,very quickly too on rare northern soul site. I've seen a few demos but not many issues over the years.

I would think it would fetch more than the demo which is also very hard to find

I don't get the original CD argument as we are an original vinyl based scene.A lot of the unissued Motown first came out on the connisseur / collectable CDs long before the came out on vinyl in the box sets. Should none of these be played out?

Carver was over £80 with a few minutes to go and had 20 bids on it. An original on e Bay £200 buy now!

Len Barry was involved in so many records that are staples of our scene. I know I'm in the minority but this is my favourite take on You Baby and much cheaper to acquire.

Johnny Nash released many great soul singles throughout the 60s. The hard to find ep which came out here on RCA in 64 containing What kind of love is this,Deep in the heart of Harlem,was excellent.

Theres a Gladys Knight on e bay most weeks and they usually go for about £100. More money than sense.

That's a 25% increase. A better investment than the stock market or property.Banks and pensions can't begin to compete. Is buying rare northern soul the way to go

Lost Summer Love issue on Pye sold on Ebay yesterday for £565. Does that seem a tad expensive or the going rate the way prices are rising?
