Another to add to the list.
What a guy!
I won one of the records he used to give away each issue of the magazine.
He included a short note with it had me in stitches...still got it.
Frankie and Johnny "I'll hold you" UK decca demo went for £1200 yesterday, very quickly too on rare northern soul site. I've seen a few demos but not many issues over the years.
Here's another

I know it's rare especially on issue but that's a lot of money.
How many UK records go for more than a grand?
I don't get the original CD argument as we are an original vinyl based scene.A lot of the unissued Motown first came out on the connisseur / collectable CDs long before the came out on vinyl in the box sets. Should none of these be played out?
Len Barry was involved in so many records that are staples of our scene.
I know I'm in the minority but this is my favourite take on You Baby and much cheaper to acquire.
Jason Knight £558. Is the only reason it went for double its normal price the fact that it had a solid centre and not a four pronged centre ?if so I'll never understand this collecting game/business! I've seen a few of both.
Johnny Nash released many great soul singles throughout the 60s. The hard to find ep which came out here on RCA in 64 containing What kind of love is this,Deep in the heart of Harlem, was excellent.
That's a 25% increase. A better investment than the stock market or property.Banks and pensions can't begin to compete. Is buying rare northern soul the way to go
