    Platters never an auction record as the end price showed. Jackie Edward's has gone for a lot more in the past. Seems the British releases are in decline which may be a good thing for new collectors,

    Its rubbish!!! You've got teams playing in this "competion" who shouldn't be anywhere near a champions league. They should go back to the original format where only the champions from each country participated in a straight knockout. No seeding ,champions of Spain could play the champions of Italy over two legs in the first round...much more exciting and you could stagger the games for the television companies. Unfortunately this will never happen due to the greed of fifa wanting more and more games. The world cup is heading the same way.

    Me and my mate drove to Northampton to see him must have been 1973 I was still a learner driver. On arrival was told he wasn't going to appear but his backing band would be performing instead. They were mainly long haired white males carrying their instruments inside. Decided to go home......wish I'd stayed now dont know what I missed

    Arrived today! 2 more fantastic volumes of unknown gems from Motown. The picture covers alone are worth the money. Hope there's many more to come.

    Valadiers very cheap been going for at least twice the price it achieved tonight.......but it's a terrible record! Just for Motown completists.

    I paid over £100 for the magicians 10 years ago. I dont attend the 100 club but appreciate the quality and rarity of the singles. I have over half of them and would like to complete the set. However this has changed my mind paying lots of money for something that's being pressed as we speak. This is morally unacceptable. If whoever it is wants to churn these records out why doesn't he slap a plain white label on them and sell them for a tenner, I'm sure there would be plenty of buyers and we would all know where we stand.

    Possible I suppose......sold 16 in the last 6 months and they are all anniversary singles. Has 6 for sale at the moment. Makes you wonder how many more he could have.

    It would be interesting to know how many copies and which records were pressed in excess of the 300 which were distributed on the night. And any Anniversary single purchased online could be one of the above with no way of knowing. It seems the only people who would know is the seller and Ady Croasdell.

    Sorry dont know how to link. However if you go onto Ebay and search Kent anniversary singles the seller comes up saying brand new records. There are three on at the moment £85 £90 £150.

    Thanks for that Alan. So theres no way of any purchasers knowing if they've got the real thing or not. Or are they all genuine?

    Looking on Ebay to purchase Kent anniversary singles and theres one guy on there with quite a few to sell.He advertises them as brand new which is a red flag in itself and calls them first pressings, They are cheaper than I would expect to pay but far dearer than they should be if counterfeits. If they are fakes then how the hell do they get away with it. Shouldn't Kent (Ady Crosdale) be taking action or indeed Ebay?

    Agree Millie is up there with the very best. But Vastly underrated. Hardly anyone outside the soul fraternity has even heard of Millie Jackson. Diana Ross,Tina Turner,Gladys Knight, Aretha Frankin yes. To me her albums are far better . So to me talented enough to be a household name.......underrated by far.

    2 fantastic albums from the underrated Paul Kelly. Dont burn me and hooked hogtied and collared. So soulful.

    "Here my Dear" Marvin Gaye. Took some getting into but over the years has become a firm favourite.
