  9. when i met Curtis (he said) he seemed a bit miffed about the Swirl 45 which the Brooks Bros put out as the Impressions....i heard theres a bit of tension with Sam and Fred to this day......at least i believe there was at the RocknRoll inauguration (what ever it was) a few years back...
  10. I posted this on Soul Talk in 2007..i got it from Des Parker......ICS is the kind of pop/ group vocal i like...CUHOH has a backing that reminds me of something..burping sax could be Mike Terry?...Davie Gordon said theres a rare garage 45 on this label (The Strange Fate)...anybody know anything about the label/artist/producers/writers?
  11. A tune ive always liked (both versions)...the flip of both is good too....ive always thought them both to be NY prods...Richard Tee/George Kerr...didnt Tom Wilson produce Bob Dylans early stuff?...any idea which was the first......they both sound pretty contemporary with each other...also i dont know anything about either artist...i dont know of any other recordings by them....either would sound good at a venue i would imagine..not that i attend any these days....and neither are expensive.. 20/30

Much Philly talent on show on this label...I would guess the biggest hit was Family Affair...my personal favs are the Little Dooley double sider...the Sweet Soul Vibrations side....and the cute Christmas record by Honey and the Bees.
  14. Veltones........thats a nice 45..........both sides......its on youtube
  15. TOTW classic......both are West Coast pressings (delta 54387).....is the gold local and the yellow national?
  16. i seem to recall it was one of those shows where she was acting as one of the presenters and started off singing the song and then Kim came from behind a screen behind and continued .....so its not strictly a duet...i could be totally wrong...memory fades
  17. didnt she duet this tune with Dusty Springfield on Ready Steady Go?
  18. one 45 ive always liked is Rueben Bell on Silver Fox "Action speaks louder than Words" /" Too Late"......the A side got plays at TOTW ..real good Southern take on the Impressions style..."too late" is a nice ballad,,,,late 60ts....i suspect that Elbert (Eddy)Giles was in the male vocal chorus on both of these......btw the demos have ASLTW on both sides so you dont get the ballad but thats a bonus for some ...both tunes are on youtube .....
