Thanks for the reply and info hilray.......did the LP get a USA release?....the project must have cost a fair bit.....judging by the artwork and musicianship...did Jesse work with other artists ?...a completely self penned album reveals his ability as a songwriter.......attached a scan of back cover of british Anchor LP.......
  7. Ive got this......both sides are covers of two Impressions album tracks.....("The never ending Impressions "ABC LP...(also reissued on UK Kent).....Jimmy James also covered "little boy blue" on the "New Religion" LP....
  8. i remember going to a niter in Scotland ....mid 90ts ?...i think it was on the outskirts of Livingstone (industrial estate)(?)...me....Johnny+Christine Beggs.....Mark Dobson.....young Shute........we stopped at a hotel close to Lanark as it was the only light on at 11.00 pm......i was sent in to scout it out (i had a suit on)......luckily there was a wedding reception in progress.......a few pints of "heavy" put us well in niter mood.......tune that puts me in mind of that night was Shelly Fisher.."girl i love you".........happy days

I believe the Impressions 45 "stay close to me" is Portuguese (Buddah i think).....its one of the Impressions holy grails..(like the Coca Cola 45).......i believe Mick Smith had one (but that was 20 years ago).......the nice Spanish 45 is their version of "nothing can stop me" on ABC-Hispavox.......

  13. I got this about 1980...the cover says"A Parliament Records USA Recording"... A good cross-section of funk/midtempo/ballads......what you would expect from a 1977 soul album.....all tunes written by the man himself with good arrangements.......there was obviously some money spent on this...(it says he had a fan club in Hollywood!)...i know this was a very late release on Anchor UK (werent ABC pulling the plug on the UK office?).......so it prob got no promotion.......any info on the artist appreciated ..(he was obviously talented so possibly did other stuff?)....scan of label (with custom origami) attached.......(ive never seen another one btw....but i dont get out much )
