Inspired by Nick Hacketts want..Calvin Leavy is a very talented Arkansas blues artist.....who could turn his hand to other genres....(Soul/Funk/Deep).....he recorded a lot for Calvin Brown's Soul Beat Label late 60ts/early 70ts....i particularly like his "Thats where i am"..played at TOTW....also he did a super version of Willie Hightower's "its a miracle" ...he wrote at least 3 songs about Cummins Prison (Arkansas Correctional facility)...despite never having been there.....then in 1992 he was convicted of drug dealing (eligible for parole in 10years).....and was sent to ..Cummins Prison....dunno if he's still there.....soundfile follows.....

  18. me .,.Nick Marshall, and Andy Brown went to see Curtis Mayfield(or was it Chuck Jackson?) at Hinckley ..wasnt the stage in the basket ball Hall?.....we helped Tim A in with his records then hid in the Baths so Chris Kings minions couldnt find us to pay in we emerged an hour later bleached by the chlorine happy days.....
