instant heartbreak - precisions - test press 13252 refosoul interesting this..5 rpm slower than the Drew release.got it off Tim A 10yrs ago.(dream girl is the same).which makes you wonder that was how it was meant....so back off 5 on the Drew release...let me know

re Charles IV.. just got the tape measure out and its an 8" (he said proudly )..mines got "the girl next door" on the other side......theres a slower version by Jonathan Smith which was reviewed by Soul Sam in an old Manifesto i'm told...i remember Tim A had both......i had one and Sam had the other i recall...they sound like the Dynamics to me (particularly TGND).....

ive got a George Smith 10" acetate of 6 tracks ("ive had it" + 5 which appear unreleased ballads )....trouble is it isnt in the best of shape (bit hissy and crackly)....is there a way to improve the sound quality..(ive tried soap and water)."skimming" sounds a bad idea on an acetate...?

just checked my copy and its got a hairline crack........ .....plays perfect but the sellotapes out.....

i think the First Choice test press came from Dave Alcocks estate.....there were no label details on it as i remember....i think he got if from Pete Widd originally.....
