if you can hear the dog barking its an original.............if you cant its a boot...........this was tested by me and Dave Alcock way back using a boot and an original
what a super poster.............isnt that group photo to the left of George Kerrs name of the Optimistics from their Turbo LP (they were Kerrs group)...........Ray Dahrouge said George Kerr was a superb vocalist....often better than the artist he was recording.............im sure Ray would love a scan of this poster.
Chequerboard Squares green vinyl boot......ive always theorised that Soussan did these for DJs to promote the normal black ones (Dave Alcock had a yellow one (or was it red) which he got from Keith Minshull)......any other colours known?
i think this was a cock up at the Brunswick offices...the Heartaches version uses the title and writing credits of an Artistics B side from a year earlier (1967)....Carl Davis got his royalties either way as he was on the writing credits of both (the boss usually gets his cut)
great double sider.....issues are rare.".do it.." covered by Pat Powdrill on Downey (LA) and "ive got my eyes open" Channels on Groove (NY?)..not sure whose version was first..last one they recorded before becoming "the Mighty"......the tracks arent on the ABC lp.....IGMEO is killer brassy heavy beat.. typical Johnny Pate prod......would sound super at a venue.......highly recommended...
there must be a relationship with the Deena Johnson 45 on Simpson SR102..."IM A SAD GIRL"...Jesse Herring...Simco...Galrek mentioned.......she had a 45 on Swa-Ray also
