  7. some additional info on Woody....as you can see he was a stalwart of Pacific/NW R+B/Beat./Soul.. the Mari 45 was probably recorded with the El Caminos but i have no evidence to back that up.....
  8. the great and the good of Pacific/NW have never seen it....its one of Kearny Bartons labels.....Woody is still going strong as far as i know..
  9. Have Love will Travel - woody carr - mari This went from Des P....To Spaghetti W...back to Des...finally to me.....research says its prob a very hard one..take the tune to 1964 and the doowop is replaced by lurching horns.....very fit label design

Ticket from Manchester Apollo 1988.....Line up was (i think)...Otis Williams, Melvin Franklin,Dennis Edwards,Richard Street and Ron Tyson.....DE was a bonus as it was a short period when he rejoined the group.....they were superb.....i remember DE doing a small rap during one of the slower tunes......inserting "i told her don't look any further"...to a big cheer......they were always doing this like that.to please the crowd.....singing snatches of Four Tops tunes......doing fast tunes slow and vice versa....brilliant and inventive dance choreography.....marvellous entertainers..

  21. i went to some of the later 8-2 do's......who was the guy who took his glass eye out and bounced it on the dance floor if there was any mither?......on another topic i went to one of the Soul record fairs there once....(they had more than one event going on on the day)......i was asked in the bar....."can you tell me where the Psychics Convention is?"
