i know its no help but Johnny F got one at the Tuesday Club Stoke a few months back for £50...v good price..these are really good venues......

ive got an acetate of "instant heartbreak" which is a good 5rpm slower than the released version (dream girl is the same as released)..i wonder if thats how it was recorded....and it was speeded up for the Drew issue......

talking about the Lorraine Chandler Black Magic 45.....i suppose SS did that because LC never did a version of LYB so no one would know.....but he used her Giant recording of What Can i do for the B side as it had a legit US release......wonder if she got any royalties off that?...i think....

when i was in LA in 88 (he said).....John Hilliard told me Eddie Jefferson kept a loaded gun in his glove compartment especially to cap SS over the Sunlovers boot.......if he ever ran into him........surely a myth....... ......a) it wasnt unusual to have a gun in said compartment b)SS had a personalised number plate...even Hilliard spotted him on the highway .....easy to find if you really wanted to........Jefferson was well pissed off tho..........
