  3. John Manship had some M copies of the Carrolls ....great 45.....and its uk only and doesnt sound a lot like Diana Ross much to me (good bit earlier)......i was told by Tony Rounce theres a Jobete test of Valerie Simpson doing it.....maybe someone should ask Faith Brown how it came about......

  5. attached scan of "hard to tell" vinyl boot...sound is good and the scratched in dead wax number is virtually identical BUT...look for the "AT"scratched elsewhere in the deadwax....(a common feature on many Atlantic 45s (and distributed 45s)......this is absent on the boot......this was one of the best counterfeits ever........i'm not even sure there are east coast originals without the AT....but if it has the AT its orig.....

  16. i must have got the date wrong........mind you i cant remember my birthday...i neve bought Betty Lloyd i always found it too shrill.....bought Boss Four for £20....mind you i like vocal group sounds , when did the pile of Vince Apollos on Pentagon turn up?......i was pleased about that......kickin TOTW sound with great flip.......and the Little Johns on Martay.....another i was glad to get at a reasonable price......
  17. remember when some copies of Betty Lloyd on BSC were found in the mid 90ts (Gilly?)...the price went way down......now its back up again.......i suppose its a case of "how many"
  18. Guy sold me a copy of GIMY for £25 out of the sales box he had in the boot after we got a lift home from who knows where early 90ts.......happy days....... (not sure who was driving)

  20. i sold the Parisians for £20 back in the day.... ....the following week i bought the Kittens on Vick for £7 ..Isonics on Kammy for a tenner......and Continental Showstoppers for a fiver........ .......what goes round.....(still down on that month tho....hee)
