ive got the 1976.."Freddy Cole Sings" LP on Decca......which has a nice jazzy remake of his Tru-Glo-Town tune "i'd have it made".....(retitled as "if i had your love")....

heres a scan of the silvery "Norman Rickett" copy...which i think is orig...(too much going on in the deadwax for it not to be)...altho Tim A said to me at the time ..."the jurys out on that one"....check out Nancy Wilsons super version of "player play on" off her 1967 "Nancy" lp.....Norman (Nooney) Rickett was a member of the LA psych band ..Love in one of their later lineups...1968?

ive mentioned this before on Soul Talk....the "Secret Agents" side plays "The Duck".on my 45..are they all like this?....

scan of orig FN.......as has been said before...the MR is stamped.....also theres no X on the delta matrix ...ie 52623 only....which indicates it was the A side i think.... (isnt the font slightly different?)

I just noticed..playing this ...that theres a trumpet tootling away on the intro...this isnt on the 45 or the Soul Bible comp...anyone else spotted this.....is it a diff mix?...or have i got too much spare time?

i'm sure this has been mentioned before...but my memories shot....isnt the French 45 the LP mix/cut....as opposed to the UK/US 45s ?

There was a lively discussion of this 45 on Soul Talk a few years back...with differing opinions..I got it from John Hillyard in 88 in LA......on the face of it ...it looks similar to the Bill Lucas reissue.....but either someones gone to a lot of trouble to deceive in the deadwax... or its an original. "Hey Boy" has delta 67686 scratched in...Bell Sound stamp...MR...sideways LW "When your Gone" has delta 68671 scratched in...and MR Its styrene....anyone else seen this...its baffled me for years...

Had some great laffs with Dave Mead...great bloke..he'd often come out with something hilarious...once...at TOTW...Dave came up to me and said "Hi Jim ..about that 50p i owe you" (he was always skint)...i thought for a bit...then said "you dont owe me 50p"...quick as a flash Dave replied..."Well can i have it now then?"...i paid up to a true artist
