  6. The O'Jays version is correctly credited on the 45...yet on the Soul Sounds LP its credited to "M.Lance" (!)...i know writing credit mistakes do happen...but i know of no obvious connection between the Major and the O'Jays/ Liberty....my current theory is he introduced them to the tune....they didnt know the orig 45 at the time so they put his name on the writing credit...corrected later..any comments?

  11. I would guess the mistake came about thru the Jayboy rerelease of the Fontana album "Something old Something new"....when they had the tracks.......interestingly Philly Dog and the Duck were paired on a French Festival 45.......which i assume was contemporary with the original Mirwood releases of these ...66...
  12. an interesting oddity is the flip of Jayboy 56.....Olympics.....my copy plays "the Duck" instead of "Secret Agents"......always wondered how many of these there are.......

Released in 1970 from a Charity concert at Yankee Stadium in 69...a live double LP was issued on T-Neck featuring some of the performances ( i particularly like the Brooklyn Bridge Impressions medley...but as a Johnny Maestro fan i'm biased)...attached a scan of the film poster and lp cover..it never has made it to tape/dvd.... Isley Bros Patty Austin Brooklyn Bridge Edwin Hawkins Singers Jackie "Moms" Mabley Five Stairsteps + Cubie Ike +Tina Turner Revue Clara Ward Singers Judy White Winstons Young Gents the film was 2 hours long......

  23. the Monarch Delta chart is an excellent way of dating records......but occasionally reissues retain their original (first) delta matrix in the run out groove......i have two examples of this.....an Arthur Alexander on Dot and Brenda and Tabs on Dionn (Hey Boy).....
  24. ive had sellers who will ship to UK and Spain ...but not to say France and Germany (they told me)....i didnt press for the reason why...but i guess its a legacy from the Gulf war....(as to who are perceived US supporters)
