I actually was going to say, they sound different in the 100 club! LOL, That place does hold a certain magic, and the tunes were talking about hold special meaning there for me. Outside that venue it just didnt work in the same way.
forgot about mr Clarke, you know I've heard so many guys I respect on the scene say they really rate clarky as one of the best and most inovative Dj's ever.
Play things he's discovered a little more recently really Len, the tunes, ben E king, melba moore ect were all great, and Yeah I'd want to play all those amazing tunes he's discovered out if I'd found them but there was very little I didnt know and not much in the way of suprises. maybe its just me being jaded, sorry.
from a non northern perspective there is only one for me, not long before he found his 'paradise'

you'll all probs hate this, but I love it, looking for an excuse to play it for the last year! not strictly new, tis a re- edit of Cerrone, but its a pretty radical overhaul, I do pitch it up to the max though. sounds loverly mixed with melba moore standing.......

heard spanish maiden out and about a bit lately and no not just me, pow wow and diifferent strokes too in the last couple of months. good call on the herman hitson russ.
the outro to bud harper- wherever you were, has to be one of the best for me, he just steps it up a gear and gives it rock all! the intro to Pyramid is just so atmospheric it get me every time too.
