  3. some major revival nights like the kings hall, Blackburn and the ritz were flourishing before everybody had the net at home.
  4. i slept under a bench in loughbourgh once, because igot the date wrong for a nighter, missed the last train back to London.
  5. going way back, Mike Pickering first likened house to the northern thing, house it was first played in the UK at the Hac and the kool kat in Nottingham. There was a distinctly different sound in the north in the late 80's and early 90's, with a definite focus on soulful vocals and uplifting piano riffs, mainly from the US and Italy, but for me the sound got lost in the commercialisation of house and clubbing by the mid 90's.

  7. thanks ivor, one of the big tunes around the west end clubs, when I was a student in the eighties, love it.
  8. been after and orig of 'wanted dead or alive' fro a while, seems rarer then cashing in.
  9. you have the issue, rarest, then the 'A' on wrong side demo, 2nd in rarity, follwed by the 'A' on the 'long time' side which seems to be the most common version.

  16. interestingly at the same time, revenge were doing massive illegal raves for thousands, 50k sound systems ect, but it took the rozzers a while to catch on to it. I can remember hearing one on the way to Tony's as we stopped at little chef just outside Blackburn.

  21. sorry to hear that Dave, I rarely out at the mo too, spend most of my time and cash at BMX race tracks nowadays, obscure northern venues, importing rare parts from the states, lol same crap diff pot.
  22. mine were a couple of years later from domar, had the accents - think again for £2 on it and god knows what else
