Jo.Jo Petite - You make me come alive-/ Joey- Boss (two great sides, rare!) £175.00 Excellent -really nice copy with just light wear on both sides, ymmca side has a small amount of biro on lable and a feint date. Both side play NM. Spindletoppers -It's written in your eyes- ABCparamount- WDJ- £45 -Great atmospheric midtempo, that's growing in demand. VG+ nice copy with just a light marks James West and Obsidian II- Hanging in/ when is she coming- Strength- (oddball funk/ soul dancers) £35 Excellent- vinyl is clean on both side with just a little water damage on one side of the labels ON HOLD Eddie Holman- Stay mine for heavens sake- Parkway WDG (lovely white DJ) £15. VG+lots of light marks but still good and glossy, label has just a little signs of aging Tapestry- Life is what you make it/ its not the world that's messed up- Capitol - (Two cracking phillly 70's dancers on this rare issue copy) £35 Excellent, close to /nm, very nice copy! a steal! Moon Williams- Suspicious love- MCA - (great uptempo 70's dancer that's hard to find) £25 NM- played just a few times.
  2. after enduring the top 40 a few times over the last couple of weeks, I can really see the appeal of NS to the young, modern pop is just so lame!
  3. first post on this thread for me, purchased last month, kept on seeing all the copies on ogs disappearing so thought I'd better get it. other side play at the mecca maybe? but this is the one for me layed back but still danceable.
  4. bout the same in quantity, more is cash, but selling more recently, just run of the mill stuff on ogs stopped buying us garage from the 8ts and 9ts, started buy more funk and soul and r and b again.

  8. some major revival nights like the kings hall, Blackburn and the ritz were flourishing before everybody had the net at home.

  10. going way back, Mike Pickering first likened house to the northern thing, house it was first played in the UK at the Hac and the kool kat in Nottingham. There was a distinctly different sound in the north in the late 80's and early 90's, with a definite focus on soulful vocals and uplifting piano riffs, mainly from the US and Italy, but for me the sound got lost in the commercialisation of house and clubbing by the mid 90's.

  13. been after and orig of 'wanted dead or alive' fro a while, seems rarer then cashing in.
  14. you have the issue, rarest, then the 'A' on wrong side demo, 2nd in rarity, follwed by the 'A' on the 'long time' side which seems to be the most common version.

  21. interestingly at the same time, revenge were doing massive illegal raves for thousands, 50k sound systems ect, but it took the rozzers a while to catch on to it. I can remember hearing one on the way to Tony's as we stopped at little chef just outside Blackburn.
  22. dont like coloured vinyl, don't know why, and have always avoided buying it. kids would call me racist nowadays.
