  1. two well missed characters that passed in the last few years back, Mickey Cruise and Tony Evan's , another Tony, mr foster who's on sabbatical at the moment , the irrepressible Dave Carne and a few who I can still fortunately enjoy the odd night out with, the stately Jez Jones and the king and queen of secular gospel, Simon and Amanda Cottrell
  2. Rochelle Flemming (first choice) every time, one of the most underrated vocalists ever
  3. there was a thread on here that clearly defines it
  4. I've taught in Buxton for the last 15 years, last years must have Xmas pressie, for my year 11 class of coolish lower middle class kids, were record decks. they were buying stuff like ELO, The Beatles, Queen, but its just great them having the same tactile experience of viny. Downloads are the fast food experience of music, vinyl is like fine dining for you ears
  5. don't come any better than the first two for sure
  6. Saw Gill in the mid 9o's, first time he didn't turn up- Gilly's rock world in Manchester. The midnite express did a free gig and were awesome on there own, he played a re scheduled gig a month later, and to be honest it was a bit plat, he was flawless but just kinda played his set, it didn't have the spontaneity of the band playing alone.
  7. I'm dead jealous, on those gigs, anyone ever see Malo, did they tour in this country?
  8. I'd go for about 4 or five around the 30- 50 mark, a mix of lesser played oldies and semi know's, best investment wise, select wisely and always choose the ones on gold labels, lol.
