  6. I had a roulette demo, and that looked dubious in the 80,s bubbly label but never certain. Big track for key on the deep Funk scene too. I wouldn't this have appealed to a nasent jazz Funk scene in the UK and too?
  7. like both of those, well worthy of checking, thanks .
  8. If my son is listening to such middle of the road, sanitised pap by the time he's 18, he's in for a kicking off me. it's worse than him turning into a Vale fan! Seriously though it's hard to lighten up. This stylised, home bargain soul, lacks any of the vigour, vitality and edge I associated with youth. It's like perry como in the 50s, like rock and roll never happened.
  9. Not offensive but any better than Michael Bolton or simply red?
  10. Big problem for me and goes for virtually all contemporary dance music too is just so transient. Selling off a lot of house records I've bought in recent years, all sounded great on the few Initial plays, but but even just a few years down the line sound so disposable.
  11. Does anybody else think this guy, and a host of contemporary artists, have all the styling's with none of the real emotion and authenticity of true soul
  12. I bought mine and was pleased to get one for less than £50for the welcome to my door side which is awesome. First heard it on a dj muro mix, and it's a popular track with breaks collectors. So possibly the rise in value is due to appeal on another scene.
  13. That's really good, but I has it ever been played out?
  14. Was lemmy really a fan sooty? Did he have a hot box stored away with his collection of rare nazi memorabelia?
  15. Been on before, but I think there a thread a few months ago
  16. sounds a lot like brian is playing hammond on this, pisses on lbh IMHO.
  17. Chosen few got a lot of plays about 10 year ago in small nights, and but never quite made into the big rooms
  18. Not sure about this one, but will stand corrected, certainly don't think its ever gone big and certainly good enough imho
  19. Stunned, and not heard before but would have thought, but I must have been massive at Wigan.

  21. One in a million-maxine Brown. The has always been one I've used in the past. Another favorite has to be Harold Melvin - get out. one I've heard adey play as last in the past and a record that will Always remind me of the 100
  22. Pete, thanks a great site indeed, but often heard it said that UK pressing are generally of better quality than us. I would you concur?
