  3. Been going to nighters early doors over the last year, leaving around 2, when you really don't want to go cause the floor is full. Then I'm still absolutely knackered the next day. And I'm not as old as most of you lot.
  4. Narbay sounded awesome at Keele. Great to hear boss four at Swinton over Xmas, remember this being a mainstay of butch's set's when I first got into northern, definitely one that benefits from a big room. https://youtu.be/s9OzGRiHWh8
  5. Perfect, thanks pal
  6. Not sure either are available on vinyl, box set of singles of 'in crowd' but he want album/ double album. Some of these things go for stupid prices if not current, I know it's daft, but that's why I said easily available.
  7. Thanks pal, appreciated
  8. Thanks lads but it's for a guy who wants the top 100 and mainstream soul hits from the 60's and 70's
  9. I friend wants a good northern soul/Motown compilation on vinyl, he can get his a dad for his birthday. Recent new release that are easily available please.
  10. It's not just tunes, I see posts warning of scams with collectables all the time.
  11. Looking forward to this, what a DJ line up!
  12. Keele this time of year, is a bit of a tradition in its self. Seem to remember minus 14 or so some years back
  13. Around 600, I'd say.
  14. link to an earlier thread about the track, id wasn't aware of it
  15. Can't recommend this night highly enough, I'm itching to go but still not quite match fit.
  16. Very reminiscent of Sharon Jones, pretty neat to these ears
  17. Hopefully we'll enough to make this next weekend
  18. It's had a revival via use on a marvel soundtrack. For many young kids, movies and games are a prime introduction to oldies.
  19. I remember Richard serling saying kev Roberts left it on a chip shop counter which gave it a warp.
  20. Well 12 Grammies, top 100 all-time guitarist, opened his own record plant, with the first new vinyl presses for 30 years. And I wouldn't be surprised if you here one of his riff's chanted at the world cup. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_White
  21. You've gone a turned me on to a whole world of new tunes in perverse reaction to your comment
  22. Just listened to the village people track, seriously? Almost identical backing track? Gibson brothers, I'm pretty familiar when their stuff, ' oh what a life, probably the closest, but still way, way off the house brothers imho
  23. Good call Chris, I said I wasn't typical of the time, but neither are the examples you cite.
  24. Not a fan of the beautiful game tbh, but I give it a go as I'm recovering from an accident. I loved the snooker last week and go well into. So far I've seen a a few games, very few goals, and a load of grown men rubbing there ankles and faking injury, torturous tbh.
  25. Brilliant, got one a can't wait to hear this out, better than the house brothers for my money
