It came from a unnamed cut out 50p box in greater manchester around 6 years ago,. shortly after me brother found one on another label, or poss different rock records design in beat in rhythm , for 20 quid, but didnt bother, cause I already had it. Then I hear Maria Willingham play it at Sanbach J17, and got very curious.

  15. I meant strange in a positive way, I should of said distinctive, in the way that say the pyramid is. I'll see if I can pull up some files of the named tracks, many thanks and a great set too.
  16. Dave Greet played the strangest of records around 1/2 way through his set, Couldnt hear who or what but it was midtempo very soulful and really kinda strange in that it seemed to have section with this weird backward effect, not hopefull on this, but any help gratefully appreciated.

  19. had the good fortune to see the man around 10 years ago, though he didnt turn up the first time! I'd rekonmend Some of Richie Haven's stuff to being on a musical par( folksey soul) also the Last poets and Ellen Mcanwe Not sure about the spelling of this last one, but she was a great folk soul vocalist fgromthe early 70's.

  21. thanks for all ho've responded, fascinating to get a glimpse in tom the language used back in the day, I first heard it used on the old grey whistle test, around 85? when they did a feature on Blackburn allnighters, just a s i was getting into it.
