  1. I think supertime was speed up for the bootleg pictured above
  2. Sounds a little middle of the road to these ears, struggling to hear the soul in this release. Singer puts me in mind of Gilbert O'Sullivan.
  3. Excellent article, thanks Eddie.
  4. About sums it up, if I was listening to that to see if I'd buy at a car boot it wouldn't get past the ten second mark.
  5. Alex is my favourite artist, he also covered, good night Irene.
  6. Heard some great things about this nighter.
  7. You can hear that. I think that muddy album got slated by the traditionalist fans at the times, but possibly went on to inspire a genre
  8. My favourite rock band won't be many folks favourites on here, but I'm always fascinated by what they were listening to and they obviously had great taste. There are other examples but maybe someone else can remind me.
  9. Always a quality event
  10. Earlier in the thread Happy feet
  11. Sad news, regulations and red tape, laws in the US seem worse than in the UK
  12. Ace venue and always great music, hope to make this one
  13. Looks worthwhile,
  14. This is more than event, it's a tradition really, bringing together people annually to do something great.
  15. Spot on, it is out of the bottle but a cultural change is possible and it starts with conversations like this.
  16. I don't know why they need to, most post their playlist, seconds after their set is finished
  17. Some great information thanks Robert
  18. Totally agree Paul, this is wrong! Not the way to treat a member who has done nothing wrong
  19. I've played 'down in the ghetto ', heard it played out a few times lately too.
  20. I love propositions like that, nu- groove was a new York label, but I love the idea. I know both tracks very well, GTO was ace at the time a regular play @ Shelly's. The club you mentioned was the night club used in Saturday night fever, wasn't it?
  21. Right people, the reserved places list is now closed. We do have some capacity on the night on a first come first served basis only. There is likely to be a cue again on opening, if your not in it, your not likely to get in. Be early, or already on the list, or you may well not get in.
  22. Seriously not intending to bump, but the Travelers list has gone a bit ballistic! Not too far from capacity from that alone, and we're certain of many coming, who are not on it. Please be early or on the list. We just don't want anyone to be disappointed.
  23. New to me, a cracker
  24. Personally, I'd like to ban phone use altogether. Doesn't have to be Draconian, a few signs and info on flyers ect. We won't be the first https://mixmag.net/read/fabric-london-bans-photography-video-phones-news
  25. Your spot on, Paul, Im really sadly ashamed to admit I'm into northern nowadays, to anyone off the scene. It's associated with; a specific set of records, a costume and current culture that means little to me. That 'way of life', now seems to involve a flask of tea and sandwiches, dancing to same music week in week out at a host of local nights, with occasionally outings to the kings or crackpool.
