    what amazes me is people are still buying these things and fell ripped off when they dont get a £1000 or more record for a tenner.

    I'd I usually take a positive approach and just listen to things that look intersting for one reason or another, I sposse I jusat apply the same mentality when flicking through a box at a nighter or a shop. I love listening to sales CD's a great way to truely hear records for me, you dont usually have the same discrimination with an unknown and as long as you dont know the artist you listen without the predudice. Instead of thinking ' what's the potential rarity', for me not an admirable quality but one we all need to rein in at times.

    one only sold 10 years ago on bay, it was £300 but I wouldnt of thought it was hugely indemand from the northern crowd tho.

    Just picked up - David Clyton Thomas- say boss man on Decca, unknown to many apparantly, Davis was laterly lead singer with everyopne's pop, rock , jazz fusion act, Blood sweat and tears. Its a twangy R n B growler and I just love it.

    I strongly suspect mines the mr K edit too, and for me superior to the LP mix, Danny Krivtit is the don, it just doesnt sound like an edit! Thanks guys. I have the Lamont version too which is great, esp that african chanty thing it goes into at the end. I used to be a regular on oldskoolanthemz and was considering contacting them on this, Not on label releases can be tricky to track down on discogs. thanks one and all.

    I nick named my lad, who's 5, little bobby Kimble, Little did I know that Bobby Kimble had indeed made several northern cuts, Des P had one in his box recently and I burst out laughing but hesitated and didnt get it, could kick myself now. Apparantly mr kimble whent onto be the lead singer with Toto.

    It is mate, however I cant see how the instumental gets played, a marvin gaye record without marvin gaye on it? so too are lonley lover and lucky lucky me which seldom get an airing nowadays

    No I'm not talking bout any house mixes matey, the original boots, now there's a contrtradiction in terms, are very close to this LP version but not the same, I'd say slightly more dancefloor freindly, its hard to put your finger on. But thanks I'd stick with my booty version over this one anyday, can anyone say who did, or where the boot mixes came from they dont sound like re- edits there's slightly different instuments in there? thanks for the help on this so far my freind

    I have this on a dodgy bootleg 12 from around 1990, the other tacks, bassheads ect, date it from around this time and it was indeed big at the Hacienda and other proto rave clubs at this time. Ive seen it on a more official and more recent boot too, but what's the ovo of this, I assume its an LP track but Ive been informed the LP cut's not the same as the boot mix can anyone help?

    There are so many nice things you can pick up for a fiver at the mo or even less, think my umpteenth copy of the poets was around £6 quite recently.

    Cheesey tune but 'double cooking' always work well for the claps. When I first whent to the wheel revivals in the mid 8ts It really stood out these sharp, loud claps echoing around the painted brick of the, then, place mate 7.

    well you should answer the question yourself, how would you feel if you'd forked out around £150 for a nice us demo of linda jones or around the same for MVP's and someone played his perfectly legitimate UK issue as the last record in his set, just as you were pulling out your US copy ready to play? similar has happened to me on more than one occasion.

    Barbra Mason could sing a bit, not all that familiar with this great artists, 6ts output, I know put me in a yolk and leg irons! But just lately I've been loving her 7ts and 8ts gear on west end and Prelude any tips? what's your fave BM track? For starters try..... Darlin come back home on Prelude, just sublime!
