Yeh...careful there, we're slipping into 'that thing' again ......The point is - no matter what sort of night you put on, it's helpful to 'someone' that a full description is put on the 'events'. Amongst other information - what you play, the type of Soul Music whether it be on Vinyl, C.D's or MP3's - which is your choice whether people like it or not. This is where the full description comes in - then people can make an informative choice as to whether to attend or not.
As has been said before on this thread - Most people have 'found their level', meaning that they know where they want to go now. I attend places of which I respect both the Promoter (s) and the D.J's they have playing at any given time, because with that in the 'equation' I'm odds on to have a good night. The full description on the 'events' (in the main) is for the benefit of people trying somewhere for the first time, and it's important that it's there as a matter of fairness to the customers at least.
In saying this (with ref to places I attend) Just lately, I've been enjoying places that are so 'over ground', they're 'underground'
