  1. Waited for your message ... as I got a nice mint spare in my sales box as well. Its carries a simple 30 UKP price tag...up for grabs people...
  2. Now I understand all your comments...you didn`t get my point of view right at all. Its not BC that I classified as "r&b tinged funky etc etc"...it was and is Barbara Hall. Would you only have read more carefully we could have saved us this conversation. Still nice to have had a talk with you as always. Healthy the R&B scene was in its start...IMO...which is way over six years ago which is The Boilers age. So you may indeed not know what I mean. Don`t have an impelling need of wanting to be right, its just my opinion that I am free to have. You are free to have and defend yours as well Edu...
  3. Must be a close one, eh ? Beside that you are right with one or two exceptions I can think of.
  4. Na klar, war ja logisch. Wer hatt`n Dich nun jefragt ;-) ?!
  5. No its called irony During the last couple of years most of the Berlin Funk DJ`s have discovered R&B in a big way. Very much the same on a wider scale happens worlwide. Just have a look at fryer-mantis to see what I mean. That "Tittyshaking" section of R&B you refer to is most of the time very much exactly what I dislike...shite white 50ts and early 6ts teen or instrumental music. It ruined what was a healthy R&B scene at the start . IMO Me neither
  6. 20 years ago...believe me though... later on I learned how to get rid off that echo LOL! Marc
  7. Ha, in fact that is what I search for and most of the time find in my Rare Soul (except for Sweet and Deep of course). So now I know..in reality I am a not a Soulie ... I am a Funk guy! Would I have known that earlier on it would have saved me a lot of anger I suppose LOL! Thats it ..I am off to fryers now.
  8. So obvioulsy you seem to know the wrong R&B afficionados...they still may get mixed up about waht is pure sh**te popcorn and real black american R&B. I believe you have a point there. I must have played it about I don`t know maybe 20/30 times the last say 24 months in and mostly outside Berlin. Always almost an eruption on the dancefloor. But I wouldn`t dream about playing that at any average Northern Soul event, especially not in the UK where most people I suppose indeed would run off the floor when hearing the first bars. So what is that telling us ? Marc
  9. perhaps not idenbtical but certainly very VERY similar
  10. Yes, only "softer" recorded on Richard Marks....thats why Ian Wright is so wrong with his statement LOL! I`ll get my coat....
  11. Garethx is busy on the phone talking to Butch.
  12. No, don`t think so as in the very same conversation he told me all matrix details of all Tuska releases...from his memory. He even included the unreleased ones. over to you
  13. No, he rang me and said he can`t remember ever talking to you at all
  14. If you would only read more carefully young James you would have recognized it was Simon who referred to Butch first. Beside that, you sure you really wanna talk about things such as electro shocks ?
  15. You are not LOL The other side is a killer R&B-funky-edged dancefloor winner which is so right for today, words fail to describe it .
  16. see, thats what those bl**y foreigners do to us...even ruining our once so reliable German Post! ,
  17. I`ll ask him later today for you and let you know tomorrow...please be a little more patient.
  18. As long as its concerning BC it was, is and will always be you Simon ...I am afraid
  19. As much as you slagg off this record at every possible occasion Simon, you must really nnneeeddd a copy big time...so I really wish you you`ll find a copy one day. Beside that everybody is free to have a personal taste and judgement...so in my book its both sides are examples of the best. Barbara Hall brings a tear to my eye everytime the needle hits the groove. And I know my Deep (as well).
  20. As both records have two of the most extraordinary deep soul sides ever on their flipsides - IMO - I just can`t believe you mean what you just said
  21. ...as it fits the current topic in a way... I just recieved a new spam mail...seeing many of us get packages from the US I thiought I`d better warn you the senders adress is customer@dhl-usa.com, headline is "DHL delivery problem 20943" this is a "spy" spam mail, don´t open! Marc
  22. In most cases there aint much a sender can do once a registered but not insured package went lost after it went across the border. I will always remember when I sold a record to the UK and it went lost in the shite British post system. The buyer contacted the BP, they searched for it, found it, testified that to the worried buyer..only to tell him (in fact her) a week or so later that it went lost again! Unqualified idiots. No refund, nth. It was send registered. But the German post said its not their responsibility once it has left the German post system. And rightly so of course. Well, to cut it short I was made/held responsible (by the buyer) and to safe myself from more negative emails and such that started coming my way from the frustrated buyer I ended up paying back/refunding her 250 UKP out of my own pocket! So I as the seller lost out on both sides, money and record! Since then I am always (a-l-w-a-y-s) nervous when sending to the UK. The German post is one of the best in the world though, fast and almost 100% reliable. Hopefully for some more time to come...I am afraid it will change over here soon too though... Marc
  23. They even dare to publish a "United Artist Tribute" CD...if one would only forward this fact they surely would receive a H E A V Y law suit....
  24. No, it wasn`t I checked at home and it is "Lonely One" that was released by both, Steptones and Tempos... @ Rob: Maybe O`Dell Jones was involved in both groups ? I`ll ask him.
