  1. I found my vg(+) copy in Detroit in 1993
  2. in fact first time "it drove you mad" was when you enjoyed it at the Hamburg Soulweekender in 2011 alongside Contours and Constellations and others. You may remember that "vodka" and tequila" driven night .... or infact because of all that "alcohol" you dont ;)
  3. "In addition Ron Taylor said he remembered singing the song and he left the Del Larks in 1961. While the Del Larks recalled the song, they were not aware it ever came out. It’s possible the Del Larks’ song, which they didn’t write, was shopped to Dobie Gray a few years later and changed into “The In Crowd.”" ..is exactly what also Sammy Campbell said a few years ago in a interview done by I think Blues & Rhythm. Nice little and interesting record for what it is, but 3K ? You gotta be joking...

  10. The nucleus of the Chicago Gangsters were the Harmonics who were the McCants Brothers who at one time featured Junior McCants.. I once wrote a complete story about this all here on soul source. I am sure a quick sera h will lead you to it.

  19. when I bought my foirst copy around 1992/3 off Pat Brady (at 50 GBP) he told me it was only 50 copies that were ever found. wether that was true or not and yes some copies via ebay since then I dont know but defo a mighty nice record!
  20. Sonny Fishback a REAL bargain this time me thinks! Groovettes a good price for the buyer but then again I have never seen that many up for sale than during the last couple of months..
  21. Paul Thompson / Volt
  22. Only two test pressings I thought ?
  23. Oxford Knights...some thought and still do until today the find was actually a repress. Four Tracks...paid a heavy sum for mine about a month or two before they were hitting the bay. ouch. Dream Team.... traded against my mint George Blackwell PLUS cash ... doh! Thankfully found another mint George Blackwell soon after. Seem to remember the remaining stock first went to Shifty who was the first to cut down the price to 100 GBP. Still remember the conversation I had with him about it at that time.. Think amongst the biggest contenders for the title of biggest fall from grace have to be the four vandals though ;)
