  4. as obvious and dubious as was the second mystics acetate on ebay lately.
  5. exactly my thoughts Kieran as well. So many great tunes get aired all over the world but most of them dont get recognized or appreciated until (if at all that is) they get picked up and played by any of the so called big names. A shame really. Only to be topped by the slagging off of new tunes on here as soon as they get "nominated". Don`t know what all this "..sounds like 10, 20 UKP record" really is supposed to be all about. seems to be thought of some sort new ec normed quality tag....
  6. Very nice tune Liam
  7. As "She tried To Kiss Me" was picked up by Cameo/Parkway for national distribution I would have thought it was released after the Guyden record. The Guyden record definitely was pressed 1963. So who knows ? Cheers Marc
  8. very nice record...amongst the very fiirst I ever found in Berlin of all places in 1987. Thats 24 years after this the first Butlers 45 was made.
  9. Not only UK dealers Seb, I think CM has to be amongst the dealers who grade absolutely strict and very conservative in general. At a guess its more likely to be EX+. Evenif if its only EX I believe 1.875 UKP ain`t a cheeky price to ask for a Patrinell Staten, is it ? Marc
  10. good call, jesse james will always be in the list of my alltime favourite soul records!
  11. Gwen Owens sold, many thanks for the interest everybody. Marc
  12. Please note everybody who has shown interest in Gwen Owens...this is on hold until 7 pm UK time. I will get back to you after 7 pm UK time ( as a favour to the person who has first contacted me). I got an offer for Joys Of Life at 200 UKP...not totally happy but if nth better it will be sold for that price.
  13. Hi everybody, four indeed rare / indemand and very nice 45s up for grabs this time around... LITTLE TOMMY BABY CAN`T YOU SEE SOUND OF SOUL EX+ (no burn, no hiss, plays absolutely perfect!) 900 UKP JOYS OF LIFE GOOD TIMES ARE OVER COLUMBIA EX+ (rarer red issue) 250 UKP ROYAL ROBINS SOMETHING ABOUT YOU TRUGLUTOWN WD M- to M ! (very same copy as last time, but previous deal has been cancelled) 850 UKP GWEN OWENS JUST SAY YOU`RE WANTED (AND NEEDED) VELGO M- / rare (st) issue (?), first mastering, deemed flawed, no skips! beautiful copy! SOLD Don`t really feel like reducing prices on these very fine records...but if you feel like placing an offer, well feel free to do so...if not its first come, first served. Paypal as gift / or buyer pays fees. Airmail signed for postage is 5 UKP. I guarantee speedy delivery (45 goes into the postal system one day after payment has cleared). Cheers and thanks for looking, Marc
  14. Hate to disagree with you mate, but it was also a Stafford record and a lot of people knew it. I was after a copy ever since I heard it via George Sharp which must be about 23 years ago. Never seen one for sale before those two and the copy Kenny Burrell sold earlier in the year. But then again sure I do not see everything LOL!
  15. Uh, thats another sad news! RIP.
  16. wow, touche nev, indeed I haven`t seen that one before. But I still believe you would agree the issue is harder in comparison to the WD ?
  17. hi tony, cheers, some very interesting ones there..the czech sleeves are bizarre and great ! Marc
  18. well if you are thinking of selling it on, let me know please
  19. no, the other , dark one. I`ll try to get it scanned..still thanks for posting this one ric tic man.
  20. the sort of pop I really dig though Marc
  21. no mate, sadly just a heliodor label sleeve (which is also quite rare on its own). both, vinyl and sleeve are mint, which again is also quite rare LOL ! where is it documented, do you happen to a have label discography ? I would love to see one. Marc
  22. one of the rarest 7ts rare soul 45s yes, but all I have seen are white demos whereas I have yet to see an issue of this tune.
  23. it was in slightly less attractive condition and up for best offers whereas the other was a "real" auction, wasn`t it ? Still gutted I missed the second one though.. Marc
  24. found what must be amongst the rarest Greman Soul 45s... a Marv Johnson on German Heliodor with cover. Never seen one before, as haven`t serious collectors of Heliodor..
