  1. play both, record them and compare them on the computer and you will see they are differnet, not only in speed. But hey, I did not find them, I am not playing either of them, so no need for me to defend it anyw ay. Its up for everyone to make up his own opinion.
  2. I can bring a spare to rthe hideaway on Nov 27th as I `ll be playing there exactly this sorta stuff. Awesome 45 by the way...must have played it there every time I was invited since 1999
  3. the lyrics is a totally different version
  4. people saying its a boot, so what. Still don´t think its is
  5. I am not so sure on the "its a boot theory"....I know the guy (as do some others of course) who found the small lot maybe ten years ago. I have no reason to doubt him. he is a well known collector (was) and creditable seller (still is). Price wise around 50- 80 UKP at a guess (this only because of the boot theory and the sub-optimal sound quality I would think...other than that and it would be three figures given its rarity and the labels history). Marc
  6. Let me know please the next time you have a copy...always been on my wants list. But somehow had a feeling this vg+ copy would go for absurd money
  7. as soon as the 45 has arrived I`ll post it to you mate!
  8. Yes. I would like to know though who the second high bidder was Seeing the winner and high bidder were the only ones willing and able to bridge the gap between 3.500,- USD and the winning price range of about 7.400,- USD...if it wouldn`t have been for those two high bidders the price would have been 3.500,- USD and we wouldn`t be discussing it at all.
  9. sorry to hear that Darren, think this is the same affair you told me about a few months back ? This guy also tried to steal off a mate of mine (via ebay). My mate threatened him very strict and direct which in the end resulted in this guy giving up and confessing having receieved his mint copy of teh Dynamics on Top Ten ...
  10. What did the other Carpets copy go for a few days before, considerably less if I remember right ? Marc
  11. mmmh, look at that great label design
  12. You are right Mary, Encore was L.A. based. A great little record and what a fantastic label design, I remember selling my spare as an unknown several years ago
  13. If a bargain priced vg(+) copy is still good enough for you (to dj with) feel free to give me a shout. Marc
  14. Colin Dilnot did put me on this version.Didn`t knew it myself before. Still, I must admit Cindy & The Playmates THE version for me. Mark V as you say a brilliant tune and buy though...especially at only 15 UKP !
  15. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxCYLipgrGI
  16. That reminds me on a story Dean Parrish once told me. While at Polydor records he was in the studio to record https://www.raresoulm...EPLECHASE/all/1 when all of a sudden the door opened and a young bloke wearing a hat and sunglasses came in asking if it would be okay with the guys when he would join in (to jam). The band and Dean (who plays the guitar himself) said OK and the man joined in. After a few bars everybody had a strange feeling about this stranger and when he took off his glasses and hat they realized it was Jimi. The guitar on the recording is played by Jimi Hendrix. Uh, and the lead is nobody else but Dean Parrish. Not only did he produce and write said record, he also sang lead. Marc
