  3. oh my.. heres sympathy for you!
  4. one a week is a bit too many, but there`s been about 4 incl the test press with a different take since the first came up two/three months ago. before that the first and last on ebay was very early 2K`s..
  5. all in very much varying conditions ..so I doubt the often quoted mystical "handfull" has been found. just a case of sellers noticing the high ebay sales prices and trying to catch on. thats all.
  6. will keep the blue one but can imagine parting with the red (funkier) release. please pm me if interested.
  7. https://www.thornton-sisters.com/
  8. both links are about the same people involved. the second link adds to that pictures which show the thornton sisters on cuppy. so thats the evidence here..I am bothered big time by the way. have always liked the thornton sisters on cuppy and the label itself.
  9. me too mate, really would like to know for sure indeed now!
  10. hit the other link mate, its the same Thornton sisters
  11. ..ha!..sometimes the easiest way is the shortest way... have a look here..FABULOUS!! https://www.thornton-sisters.com
  12. Cheers Ian, great stuff.
  13. No. I sadly cant find it anymore. It was US based Doo Wop related site. It may have gone offsite by now. But I found this (maybe the same as you?)... "I'm writing the above because I just discovered that, 44 years after we recorded it, an old Thornton Sisters record is playing on YouTube. Who would have thought it? - Yvonne S. Thornton, MD, MPH" https://pagingdrthornton.com/2009/07/28/a-blast-from-my-past/ So opposite to what deanosounds was being told, the Cuppy 45 obviously is by THE Thornton Sisters
  14. really ? so did they know about this 45 existed before you contacted them ? remember one doo wop site I came across some ten years ago while doing research for and on bobby adams where their bio- and discography was on plus pictures etc. it included this cuppy 45.
  15. which number is it ian, and what are the exact details (title, interpret etc) please ?
  16. never seen or heard of benji, seems to be a pretty damned good find mate
  17. Its nice mate, but to me its not nice enough to justify me buying it at current price...I can see the attraction in it for other people though..and it had a full floor at the Hip City anyway as had all your tunes. which just goes to show..what do I know LOL ?!!
  18. sounds like them indeed https://youtu.be/Jd4AZ8m0kNI
  19. yes, I also remember being told they were recording under another name but cant recall actually which name. it may indeed have been brothers by choice
