  1. you are right, it aint. If I remember correct it had been re-issued by C S himself. But Andy Dyson would be the right person to say...I remember him once explaining the whole scenario to me.
  2. opens fine on my end..its a weblink mind though! try this file:///C:/Temp/.htm
  3. Oh, don`t get me started... currently waiting for a 45 to be returned to me as royal post cant seem to find the adress. The website tracking says its still in the uk..since months by now already! Already started an inquiry via German Post. On the other hand waiting for a 45 purchased since end of june..almost identical situation. And just this friday I got a 45 returned that was send out July 4th!! Again they (Royal Post) said adress cant be found..strange as I did send a replacement copy to the happy buyer to the very same adress which did make it there.. The postal system...sure ain`t what it used to be.
  4. cheers...sounds quite high for a scratched copy esp if the scratch will be audible.
  5. LOL look at me post written simultaneously with yours...as if I was reading your mind (or vice versa)!
  6. It took me exactly 16 years to get hold of one after hearing it on one of George Sharp`s tapes. You just never saw them until about six , seven years ago...used to be a steady 800 UKP seller. Have seen a few since then I must admit ...in variying conditions. Maybe a 5-600 UKP record in this day and age ? What did the ebay copy close at ?
  7. yes, it was always meet by a good dancefloor reaction over here esp. at the hip city, atb marc
  8. yes, still have it. hell of a great 45.
  9. may well be joe, I used to play it at the Hideaway too more than a decade ago by now (my how time flies!)
  10. used to play it too a few years ago, actually first a Andy Dyson spin if I am not mistaken ? Didnt know it got booted though ?
  11. that guy sold the first copy at 2400, he advertised the next copy as a returned copy (wonder why ;)?) since then his price has steadily decreased. I feel a bit sorry for the guy...10 copies...if he bought them at luckys price 2000 USD a piece that makes it 20.000 usd :o ....maybe he did get a discount price, still even 1000 usd per re-issue would see him having lost 10.000 usd. still no excuse of course to try to shift them on via ebay. he should really have returned them to mr lucky.
  12. at a very not so wild guess most of the rare soul dj`s based in nyc have a copy now
  13. well most people who collect Chicago or Chess will have that gap...if they would be prepared and willing to pay 1000 ukp is whole different question though.
  14. excuse me ?
  15. I think he said (on fb) sth along the lines of "the letter of authenticity will be send to all happy (!) LOL) buyers in the next coming days" so I assume the former buyers as well as buyers in the future will get a copy of this "certificate". At a guess the reason for this just recently created idea of a "letter of authencity" has to be found in the first complains he by now will surely have recieved. Before that announcement the number of "happy new owners of this rare promo release" had reached 20..
  16. dont think its conciderably moire than about ten +/- one or two but as you say pointless and a question to be answered only theoretically. Anyway dear Mr Flynny...it was you indeed who I heard it first play at those precious days back at the Dome.
  17. how about the prophonics 45 then ? ....................LOL I`ll stop now ;)
  18. "meanwhile on the other side of the ocean in a small community named Flint the local phone system refused to work and finally gave up as too many phone calls all of a sudden not from out of nowhere but from the English midlands tried to get thru to a local number of a houshold named Trombley. Mr. Trombley himself didnt knew what all that fuzz was about especially not as he was so much into C&W these days and all these foreigners were asking him for an obscure Soul 45 he once did about 45 years ago now as a session musician for a guy from the neigborhood called Cecil Washington. He just couldnt take it so he decided to switch off his phone"...

  20. Taken from Flynny`s (nice) review "Indeed, Cecil is present again on this disc not only as the second vocal to enter the song (duetting with an unknown male vocal), but he also wrote and co-produced it as well, the talented so and so. Recent research tracked down Soul Inc.'s old manager, who credited the lead voice as "Bobby someone or other"Â - time will hopefully reveal his identity. So, what's it like tight drumming and stroking guitar work are complemented by an organ breathing away, as it builds and just gets better and better. "Sit yourself down dear, I've got something to say. Girl we have been living right, things have been going right and started to go our way. We've got blessings to be counted girl, true love has been founded on a solid foundation (enter Cecil) with every indication that it will last as years go pass, temptations may mount, but I will never cheat on you, no I won't."
  21. You wont imagine how near to the real truth you really are...;)
  22. yes, cause he wrote it, had a hand in the production and can be heard singing as well.
  23. to me its a cecil record. will always be.
