  1. top offer is 100 usd so far, no reserve but will let it run for a few days.
  2. btw..of course I tried the "big" boys incl. butch, Dave Thorley Andy Dyson..they all didnt knew it... ;)
  3. hi everybody, found this nice tune some three / four years ago...I really love it and have included it in my sets here and there. There was only one spare to be found in all these years...which of course I tried to get my hands on. So here it is for anyone who loves to play a bit innovative and upfront.. https://snd.sc/HIQjPp I didnt C/UP still if you google it there s only one hit... PM Me your serious offer if nterested, thanks a lot
  4. you are all wrong, it started over here some odd 80 years ago.. LOL
  5. yep two nice little 45s indeed ;)
  6. funny i read this NOW...someone just posted me informing me he has just been offered to buy one..
  7. theres no rue de la garde in lille according to google...
  8. actually theres only one boot around, done in the early eighties by good old henry... anyway, its easy to detect as it has big(gger run in groove), thinner vinyl and a label prinbt really gives it away completely. it had been done alongside satintones "angel", "Motor City", miracles "bad girl" and others alongside them wonderful white label early MOtown LP`s back then. More important though is the fact that this tune exists in two different versions...I am most definitely sure you are after the heavier punchier version as is almost everybody. I had several of both but must admit it did take me a while to detect that there are two versions around.. most didnt knew that until end of the nineties when I found out.
  9. although its sad and should be the other way round really I think you are right. furthermore to be always up to date with new stuff or fairly newer /semi-known stuff you have to be on the case everywhere, niters, podcasts, soundclouds, mixclouds, radio shows, cd`s, ebay, soul-source, fb and all its various groups etc etc etc just too much really. hence why people (like me) end up hearing stuff first via a dj at an allnighter (butch in this case). a bit like in old times really, despite you had them so called collectors tape swaps back then. seems as if they are complete replaced by now by the list of possiblitites I compiled earlier in this message. plus and to repeat myself here, I sadly never listened to Jasons shows due to a lack of time. same applies to finewine etc. I know jason personally and met him a few times here in Berlin, a top bloke and knows his stuff for sure. so I am more than sorry to have missed his shows back then. If I wouldnt have I might have been able to catch up with you on stuff like Clay Brown/Aljon ;) LOL
  10. accumalator with strong tendencies towards category C only hold back from time to time by the economic need to let go and sell the one or other item LOL
  11. Definitely mate, it was indeed great, and fantastic and highly enjoyable that double-decking session with yours! Indeed we should have already repeated it a long time ago !! highlight/best moment of the whole weekender for me as well ..maybe only rivalled by that mountain of shoes created by some students or festival visitors in the middle of the dancefloor later that very same night which was accompanied by a Soulie wearibng a KTF black fist Northern Soul t-shirt shaking me hands and saying "Welcome to Engalnd mate, this is Northern Soul" !? LOL
  12. I remember that july night when Greg played it at the Hip City and everybody becoming aware that Greg wass playing Butch`s c/up. At once there was a que behind consisting of people who wanted to interrogate woth Greg who it is by...Everybody that night mentioned the C/UP, no one mentioned Jason, his radio programme let alone that group called "Crossover" on FB. Just goes to show not everyone is/can be actively involved in social media activities like FB all the time so tends to miss out on some interesting bits of information.
  13. did you try your luck last night again ? again another example of strange ebay bidding IMO. Two bidders with low feedback/transactions were bidding the thing up from 15 to slightly over 1500 USD LOL...needless to say neither won it!
  14. cheers brett, yes luckily I have a copy. Played it at solid hit in london, the nürnberg weekender at the start of december and our big new years eve weekender here in berlin and alwaysa a full floor and/or people asking what it is. despite having been included on outasights "crossover" cd 99.9 % of teh soul community seem to have not known it before. as you say, brill tune!
  15. its been posted on the 6ts site..at least it was a few months back
  16. massive spins at the beginning of the hip city..it was one of the first 45s I ever ordered from across the ocean.. someone re-activated it overe here recently, cant remember who though.
  17. ..here`s another one. should be easy to find for under 50 usd ;)
  18. heres another one from me
  19. fab call this one, definitely already one of the upcoming top tunes judging from the feedback on fb and dancefloors across europe
  20. Its not only the instro, as the instrumental refrain is repeated as well. If you prefer to call it a " song with a nicked intro" instead of "version" ..I am fine with that. Re insult, I heard different opinions, some said it was funnny, some said it was well needed and well received (by the audience) some like you said it was an insult. Personally I wouldnt put him into a roman inquistion and "burn" him for that...esp as I personally think it was quite funny indeed LOL
  21. German release on German Liberty Records
  22. okay, soundfile to follow later today ;)
  23. Gay Shel 1002 doesnt feature a # 400. it carries TM-0663/2. Gay Shel 1004 however (James Marsh "Anymore/I Wont Cry") features a MW-400
  24. just played my copy...flipside features a version of the standard "you`ll never walk alone". must have mixed it up from memory last night with "anymore" as this Gay Shel rel. by James Marsh does feature a nice deep soul recording in the shap of "I wont cry" which you`ll probably already know.
