  3. Hi Pete I know of someone organiozing things in Copenhagen, Denmark (is he online here ???) contact me offline and I will pass you on to him. No idea on Johannesburg but Berlin offers the Roter Salon Allnighter every first Saturday of the month and the Hip City Soul Club every second Saturday every second month, next one in March. Let me know if and when your plans have become final Marc
  4. We had that on a different soul talk site and they are not the same group.

  7. Cool picture, thanks sharing this one
  8. Bearing in mind that Don Gardnere recorded also on TNT and the elad strongly (!) sounds like him I do believe it is him. Personally I do prefer the other side "I`m Sitting In"
  9. Cool tune indeed. Reminds me on a different R&B 45 though.....can` t think of the title at the moment, possibly Little Jr Parker on Duke
  10. Had its time two years ago. Doug Hanners found a box and is shifting these now thru ebay.
  11. btw, currently there are three copies available from different sources.

  15. On ebay for 400 USD last night
  16. Funnily enough I was given her recent DVD as a birthday present just yesterday and must say I really really like her voice. Great singer. To answer your question I think everything "deep" would suit her voice the best....a funky uptempo version of "Midnight train to Georgia" I would at least try with her
  17. Try ebay, copies come up from time to time. In the meantime maybe Nolan Stongs version on Fortune will do ? Marc
  18. But didn`t she sell about max 10 copies while her last stay in GB ?!
  19. ten / fifteen maybe ?
  20. If at all necessary, maybe Bongalis "Undercover"
  21. Indeed it is ( ) and was one of four ( ) last tunes along Four Gents "Tomorrow May Never Come" Oncore James Bell "The Love Of My Girl" 3 Diamonds and Louis Curry "You Are Just Plain Nice" Reel I played at the last Hip City
  22. Cheers Pete, would you say the US copy goes for the same ? Marc
  23. It is not in the JM guide (vol. 2 & 3), so what is that one worth as it is the only way to play this great Eddie Singleton penned Shrine tune via 7" (unrel. version by Jimmy Armstrong) ? TIA Marc
  24. Other side btw offers a great thumping version of "Ooh Po Pah Do"...and it is not the version that was played c/up a couple of years ago as that was by someone else (have the record at home but can´t remember the name) on Delfi Records. Marc
