  7. Seconded. I wasn` t sure if you meant 550 is 200 too short or not. On second reading I see what was meant
  8. Anyone have an idea what their "Ohh Poh Pa Doo" 45 should be valuewise ? TIA Marc
  9. Yep, absolutely seconded
  10. As I needed a new copy I bought one at 15 UKP some months ago..."Storm Warning" is fetching this kinda money though. At least as a WD.
  11. So you think it worth 750 UKP ? I am not trying to have a go on you, just want to make sure I do understand your posting correct ? Marc
  12. Remember Flynny turning down the speed on my deck while I was spinning this four years ago saying "You wanna kill the people on the floor ? It` s too fast to dance to"
  13. Being a big fan of this mans output on Colpix, May, Tra-x, Purdy, Old town, Pilma and that rose coloured label whose name escapes me at the mo I must admit that this particular 45 does nearly (!) nth for me though. Having said so I can see why it could / does appeal to some
  14. I simply love it and every time I hear it I get chills up and down my spine (or what was that phrase again ?). Truly awesome BLACK goup mover and oh so soulflul...btw, I think it is not the Chicago based Salem label if anyone was wondering... Marc
  15. Sold a mint copy about two years ago for sth like 150 UKP
  16. I know records like George Lemons and Hayes Cotton are not to everybodys liking (but to mine ) but how someone can not like the Professionals, Magnetics, Terry Goodnight , Nelson Sanders and Bernard Williams (nevertheless I would always go for the Gene Woodbury release as it is more to suit my daily financial situation...but I would therefore not call the Bell 45 shite...) is totally beyond me. But then again you can not argue about taste and the variety in it is what makes it all so special anyway. Beside that I fully back every single word by Hammy. True words. Simply spot on Marc
  17. Thanks all
  18. Whats that one going for anyway ? Marc
  19. Of course it is "The Way That You Treat Me Baby"...note to myself: I should type slower
  20. At least one shares my opinion on that one
  21. I don`t think you will get an answer as I already asked him days ago if it would be possible in case I win the record to pick it up at his place person to person....do I really need to tell you I got no response ?
  22. just found a really nice cheapie in the shape of his balladesque "Where Do I Belong". Another great HB Barnum production on Capitol...only a tenner and I am speaking of Euros here
