....................wow. And there was silly me thinking, well, maybe about 100 - 200 - and getting prepared to post a want thread...this world is going....well, you know anyway, but thanks Trevski
...you could also say "Hi, I am collecting EVERY hard Northern 45 over a grand. Just email me what you have and I tell you if I -still- need it..." I bet none of the people who post such lists have had a bargian or good luck on any of their harder wants since the inter came to the net. Why waste the time in compiling such a list when nowadays about 90 % of the stuff gets auctioned anyway. Just a though and just IMHO of course
It is very "strange" for a seller to admit that they have turned up quantity, isn`t it ? But who knows... before you posted I thought it was just a case of "seeing one record going high up in prise and therefore listing the same record"..

Wow, I started playing this little gem when it still was a 10 UKP or 10 USD 45 last summer...should have tugged away some copies back then me thinks....
Hi Richie, I have the LP had it long before I got hold of the Resist45...and I personally don`t think its shite...its different, but sth special in its own way. The LP also features the flipside of his two 45s btw...so there are three versions all together of "I´ll Be Waiting"
Hi, I saw this
https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...p;rd=1&rd=1
and wonder is it really worth so much (cause when I first asked about this several years ago no one seemed to know it at all)..so I am just very very curious (again). TIA
Marc
about 150 UKP...theres an interesting artivcle about this 45 and others out of the Steel City in the latest "Theres The Beat" fanzine. Recommended lecture.
Being the man who organized this in 1990 I must say you are right in some aspect..it really was not too succesfull...but not really a "flop"..I had 300 in on friday and about 250 in on saturday...not bad for the very first internional German Soulweekender BUT The hall was buzild to hold up to 2000 people On the other hand back in the days we organized monthly allnighters (again with Gary Spencer, carl fortnum and Jon Buck being amongst our Guest DJ`s) which had 1000 people in. This was Berlin 1987 to 1990/1....
And yes I still do the Hip City on a regular basis with the best international Rare Soul DJ`s one can imagine...next one will be in may 5th with Martin Walgenbach and Oguzahn Celik and the big 17th anniversary party with Butch on July 14th...feel free to check my myspace...
