  1. Eddie Floyd on Lupine ?
  2. Still remember when you bought the Jellybeans of me matey, first time you visited my shabby flat . Tell you what, make me a good price offlist for the Sparkles and I`ll take it Marc
  3. Joe Tex at 401 USD is a steal, especially if someone is willing to pay as much as 423 USD for an illegal bootleg of Tiny Topsy https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...A:IT&ih=014 can somebody tell me in what state of mind somebody must be who pays 423 for a bootleg ? Even if he tries to get a way with this as an original (there are some out there who try at least so I have heard..) it does look so different from the original (which I btw had problems to sell on here for 250 UKP if I remember correctly). WoW.
  4. Bought and sold one for 500 UKP last year. John, please answer my last email, many thanks. Marc
  5. Good to hear my old WD is in good hands (think I sold it to you ?). Marc
  6. ...but the 45 does feature pt 2 oon the flipside..
  7. Yes, as it was once for sale on here by a fellow soulsourcer (btw I am still waiting for that CD ). Its nice but in now way better than the original IMHO. But still one would think how they came to record it..
  8. Both flipsides are different mixes. Having both 45s I must say I tend to like the Resist take a bit more. Marc
  9. Fully understand as I was a victim of that dreamteam situation myself back in the days (thanks again by the way..) but even a 50 count box would have hardly made it a "dreamteam situation"...just think about how many Jackie Days we have seen since that West Coast find several years ago. Did it affect the price ? No. Marc
  10. Thanks for that Chalky...couldn`t hold my breath anylonger A fab 45 IMO. Don`t play it out anylonger myself as I think it had its day and is now back to the "rest room" but how someone who intends to like BLACK music can say this ain`t a Soul / Black music 45 really strikes me. However you can`t argue about taste thats for sure.
  11. Used to be a 10 UKP 45 but have seen for over a 100 UKP
  12. one on ebay, last time I looked was already around 200 USD Marc
  13. by the way, anyone got a copy for me ? Please... ...and happy new year to you all (first post sionce xmas for me)! Marc
  14. Certainly not.
  15. Not tomorrow (sadly) but hopefully soon again over here as well Ian Have a great 2008!
  16. Well, lets say it has been uncovered at least since start of this very year. For those in the know maybe even longer. I am pretty sure it is due to JM latest auction (result) that copies are coming to light lately, if they do at all that is. Not doubting your statement Phil, but maybe one or even both copies that have been offered to you are from the same source = same copy ? Whatever is teh case , if you could guide me to one I would more than just appreciate it..
  17. Hi Russ, you are so right about this. I have both the Eric Mercury 45 and the old Jobete Brenda Holloway acetate and always thought it would be anice idea to mix all three versions inbetwenn one spot...never done so yet as I have to agree with you regarding the quality of Brenda Holloways first version of this tuzne. Good but weak ion comparison to Mr. Mercury. Marc
  18. And I thought it was Richard Marks "Santa Claus Helping Hands"... just because it would have been so spot on time...
  19. Ah, there you go...see, just like I said...it ain`t rare at all
  20. Butch (the first one on ebay..please read my first post) Mick H (Lew) Kitch ( ) Soul Sam (?...anyone confirm?) Ginger (the second one on ebay / JM`s) Not that it would matter, but that makes 5 and not 6. So far thats all we know for sure. Marc
  21. So now that we know that it can`t be semi-known at all as everybody is or was playing it at one stage or the other all we need now is a friendly buyer to keep soulad happy
  22. More like semi-known and no DJ (except me ) behind it. Great 45, very rare..way rarer than most of the higher priced NOLA 45s, in fact I have seen more Gerri Hall`s than Oliver Joy´s...
  23. Once more, thanks for all the interest, winners have been notified
  24. This 45 is by the "real" Parliaments (=George Clinton). It`s a very nice Doowop/Group 45 but nth for a Soul night. Late 8ts saw a compilation LP of all the early Parliaments stuff which included this tune (plus flipside). Marc
