  1. Epsilons
  2. On Motown the only ones pressed by Mariano were the Satintones and Contours (have to disagree with Joe, the pressing is easily to detect). The other boots were on Tamla, Anna and some other early Detroit labels such as Fascination etc. If you need to check any feel free to pm, got a complete early Motown collection.
  3. Not at all. Talent of Music the label. Full black group as far as my ears can judge. Its faster in compariosn to the Fantastics which lets me always choose this version when deejaying. Marc
  4. Nth odd at all about it Mal, it happened much to the disliking of Tim himself by mistake. Tim wasn`t at the office that day and by mistake they announced two or three items incl. Out of Sights and Martha Starr on Charay to be ending two days prior to the rest. I was trapped by that myself big time. So the winner really got a very (!) nice bargain there Marc
  5. I have said 45, what makes you think its was a beach group ? Absolutely black sounding, but then again of course so were the Seminoles. Any further details (know YOU have Boba ) ? Marc
  6. Make sure not buy from square deals (name says it all really). Crooks from over the ocean. Marc
  7. True, I did. And it did not even clear the floor. Played it after Timeless Legend and did fit perfectly I must say. Marc
  8. I spin it off an angel sound acetate and have been told its worth a grand iof that is of any help to you Marc
  9. The last two I had I sold for 600 and 800 UKP (both mint minus), fantastic tune but not impossible just like Dave said. If you don`t get one in the meantime try your luck with Jay Holman "Love Is A Sweet Thing" ... always used to play this after CR. Still have one reserved in my sales box since October last year but the guy ("HELLLO....! " ) hasn´t yet picked it up...so feel free to buy it now at a mere 20 UKP Marc
  10. Had some inquiring pm`s regarding condition, sorry, its excellent plus, King yellow Demo
  11. at only 350 UKP ! First come first served. Postage adds 5 UKP. Paypal fee is on me. Pm me please Marc
  12. Most admit I never heard or saw anything about that particular 45 being released on red coach, if so it would have to be a second release though wouldn`t it ?
  13. Dave Thorley kinda "re-activated" World Column last year and myself was including this here and there to from time to time. Fantastic Oldie that sounds very fresh these days. Al Foster has seen some reactivation thru the Funk Scene. I did include this as well whenever I was booked to play 7ts Soul last year. Marc
  14. well it was a monster over here already five years ago when I played it regulary
  15. Seem to remember Carl Fortnum did "mark" all of his records in the run out. I used to do it "when I was young and innocent"...last one I ever marked in the run out was Charles Sheffield`s "Voodoo" 10 years ago....anyone having my old copy now (sorry in case yes ) ? Marc
  16. Last one on JM`s went for sth like 680 UKP....worth every penny. High Quality Soul ! Marc
  17. yes, it did. which will have made Tim one of the very few people who actually had two different copies of this record in his hands. not that it matters though..
  18. May I say that Drivers "Black Bird" is a steal AND a great record
  19. I bought it for 5 UKP several years ago of course and always had it as a (quality wise miles a head) kinda cheapie classic. When Tim Brown was guesting at the Hip City in 2003 it was one of the first tunes to get him on the dancefloor and after he told me that this is currrently (2003) experiencing a great reveival and he sells them for 100 UKP. Marc
  20. Wouldn`t have thought someone would actually have the balls to try to sell them on here for that kinda price. And I sure wouldn`t have thought anybody would buy it on here for that price. Well, you live and learn. Marc NB And whats that bollocks about its the same as when a collector or dealer finds a say 200 UKP 45 cheap and tries to sell it on here for the realistic price ? It sure ain`t as we all know that this KGF was up for sale on here via three different sources (until) last week for a fifth of the above price. pardon me please.
  21. just sold one with picture cover @ 75 UKP
  22. Quality record which I think most people who have it will hold on to it. Still I must admit Beeks I really like your style, if you are ever coming over to Berlin make sure to say hello and you will get a spot at the Hip City
  23. ex plus wd lonnie russ waiting in berlin for a nice cash offer
  24. Keep your arm but make me a tempting cash offer to part with mine And you are right Phil, the mother of them all versions indeed
  25. What a great 45 and the best out of the three they did on Congress. Old Arin Demain C/UP from way back in the eighties. Marc
