  1. Judge for yourself, its at about 46.30 min on here https://tourdefunk.de/Sounds/marc_mix.mp3 I think yes
  2. Is it really ? I have this as a WD in my "early Soul/ Obscure" section since years...kinda like it but can understand that you do not the price amazes me though too.. Marc
  3. Its always easy to paint a general blue print how one should /would react, but in reality life brings up much more diverse situations. I am not feeling offended in anyway but would be really interested to hear how you would (re)act if 1. the return / refund would be asked for after the buyer already had expressed his satisfaction with the 45 2. your paypal account is f**ed up because of him 3. you don´t have any 45 back at all ? NB Must add that this thread for me was finished already after the initial controverse was closed.
  4. When I was deejaying with Wrighty in Gijon earlier this year in march we were discussing a lot of things incl. records...it was there that I told him that I have Little Willie on PJ which surprised him as we both agreed on the fact that the PJ is harder than the Vanessa. Later on in the year when he was deejaying here in Berlin it was exactly the time when I had your offer. So while we were again talking about -records what else - I mentioned that to him...only to be told that he just .... . The Little Willie I played heavily 2007 and 2008, it was also included in my mix I did upload here and on fryers and was just only last month that I did put it back on the shelf to get some well deserved rest now for a while. However, obviously we had a bad communiaction with a missunderstanding but as you just said, main thing is that vinly is secured Marc
  5. Ok, got your pm now. Enjoy this 45. Marc
  6. Hi there James, you missunderstood me..it was the Little Willie on PJ I already had. I told you this along chatting about my Buddy Cantrell on Tuska that you seemed to want also. I wouldn`t have minded a Vanessa copy though of course as 50 % of my love for this artist is for his high quality Deep sides. Tommy is I believe a reliable seller as one can be...sometimes hard to get, I agree...but who is not from time to time Marc
  7. WOW, never knew that...and that explains why this tune always had me scartching my head how much a throw back in soudn it was. So this is 1000 % ? Marc
  8. Now he truly was one of my musical heroes for the last 24 years, really shocked and sad. He was here in Berlin just only a year ago.
  9. must say pete, very happy with my last purchase from you, just arrived saturday morning, top fast service and item in great shape, thanks a lot! Marc
  10. So you are going to keep it now or still want to return it ? Let me know, thanks in advance, Marc
  11. Obviously it is stamped.
  12. I wasn`t online the whole day yesterday, thats the only reason I couldn`t answer before. Marc
  13. Yes, thanks for adding that and clearing the whole thing up by doing so. Marc
  14. ..never saw a WD by the way..
  15. 75 UKP plus me thinks. Bought my copy of John Powney ten years ago, played it heavily at the Hip City end of nineties and noticed some kind of revival for it lately ? Its getting again some heavy spins here in Berlin by some R&B guys and I also heard it last saturday at Club Function in Malm¶. And Mr French is also going to play it...rightly so as its a great doublesider ! Marc
  16. yes, that gives me hope
  17. I am trying to counter...I am waiting for an answer from paypal still though. This was his claim: Von K¤ufer: record collecting hobby am 29.10.2008 03:36 PDTthe stamped mattrix number described in seller's advert is not on the record thus deeming it to not be an original but a counterfeit my answer was: Von Verk¤ufer: Marcus Forrest am 29.10.2008 04:55 PDT This record has never ever been reissued/bootlegged. Sadly this buyer doesn`t seem to have the necessary knowledge to collect properly, other than that and he would know this. In fact the buyer already told me after he had received this item that he (quote) "loves this item". Now after weeks he wants to have his money back. This is an undiscgraceful way of acting and of course not acceptable as it destroys the baisis on which paypal works...TRUST and BELIEVE between gentle and honest buyers and sellers,Regards
  18. Its really a shame...after this your posting I checked if he has been online since I started this thread "Joined: 23-May 05Profile Views: 349*Last Seen: 59 minutes ago Local Time: Oct 31 08, 07:04 PM 933 posts (0.74 per day)" Is what it said just a second ago...but still no pm from him. I checked my email account before this very posting of mine...also nth from him. So alright then, sorry.... Its John Elias aka dancing collector on here and on ebay Marc
  19. great 45 indeed although I think Eddie Hughes is just a small tad better IMO. Here`s a nice picture of Bob & Fred from one of the recent numero uno cd`s showing they were not white. Some people thought they were white
  20. around 150 UKP...I sold the WD Test pressing @ 125 UKP.
  21. what a sad day for SOUL Music that is Awful year in that perspective, thats for sure. Marc
  22. Thanks Chalky, maybe he is just having problems moneywise we all know can happen from time to time...so I really want to give him this final chance to stop the paypal claim before I name him before it gets out of hand and maybe is doing his reputation more damage than he can repair as he seems also to deejay here and there. Marc
  23. In all honesty I can`t see why I should pay him back...He said he "loves" the record in question. I don`t think any seller would do a refund after the buyer has expressed his satisfeaction with the record ? ? Got no record back of course. Marc
  24. I was thinking about wether to make it public or not but as the person in question still despite my warning(s) hasn´t done anything yet to solve the situation or got back to me in any kind of way, I am left with no other choice but to make it public. End of September I had a sales thread going on on here and this member asks me to provide a soundfile for one particular Eddie Daye on Shelly 45. As I can`t do soundfiles I offer him a full refund policy in case he would not be satisfied with the record as I usually do. He agrees and a deal was done. After some postal hazzle I pm him to see if he finally recieved his 45. He pm`s me back - quote- "Yes, many thanks. Great 45. I love it!" I thought that would have been it. But no. Next thing I hear from him after another week has gone by is "I want to return the 45 to you for a full refund". I tell him that I am not amused about this as he had the 45 for several weeks now already and also stated to me before that he would "love" the record. So I told him that I don`t see any reason or why I should take it back for a full refund. He then tells me all of a sudden he believes this 45 is a bootleg (although a few weeks before he did not even know the 45!). I explain to him that this 45 never ever has been booted. No answer. Next and only thing I get is a paypal claim. I have emailed and pm`ed him now several times to close this paypal claim but without any answer or feedback from him. As I noticed he has been on and off soul-source the last couple of days days (I guess to see if I already made it public as he did not post up anything...) I will give him with this public post now one final chance to act before I will name and shame him on here. I think its very annoying that you can get ripped off from a soul source member...I thought this kind of thing only happens on ebay with dodgy buyers who after they have their goods delivered start a paypal claim! ....
