Well maybe its indeed just an overrated 800 UKP 45 then...and everybody who thinks its worth a grand or more must have lost his/her mind. To me its one of the best 45s to have come out of Detroit anyway still and if I would have to and would have the chance to I would easily pay more then 800 UKP. And I did...nine years ago. Still have not regret it I must say

Come on Benji, to defend all the popele who bought this 45 I must say that to think that one of the most wanted Detroit Norhern Soul (doublesider) 45s ever which also has proven to be extremely tough to get hold of for the last thirty odd years would be less then 800 UKP these days is not showing the biggest of them brains at all...but maybe you were just in your teasing state of mind again
7 years ago Irish Greg already advertised his copy at 1200 UKP...so the price tag of 50 UKP must be a bit older ? Anyway, even records like Otis Lee were 50 UKP once...and loads of other 45s that have seen an incrdeible price hike inbetween the last ten years.

Well, for as long as I can remember I haven`t seen a Ree Flores at Anglo`s or JM`s for sale. At least I can not remember having seen them and JM tells in his description its the first he had for sale in a decade. I have seen maybe three in private sales and there`s only one shown via popsike (2005..)...
On the other hand I must have seen about up to 15 (its eleven alone on pospike) copies of JBs/Revilot in the last 4-5 years. So to answer your question I will pretty much stick with the price quotations from popsike on that one and would say about 1250+ UKP depending on condition etc. Maybe a bit less these days because of credit crunch etc.
So it roughly sits where I would put Ree Flores value wise these days. The same price for a record you see way less often for sale compared to Jackey Beavers should be somehow about right. Especially as one -Jackey Beavers- is a (fantastic) oldie whereas the other one -Ree Flores- is an oldie but one with a with a current revival ?
Marc
Not a rare record only if one classifies also Jackey Beavers/Revilot as "not a rare" record though... in few collections ? Yes. Indemand ? Yes. For sale ? Very, very, very seldomly...
Hi Richard, great to see you about again, hope your well mate. Yes, its a nice early doublesider...but to be honest nth too special. I checked at home again and its indeed from Ohio.
Marc
I am afraid it will go for more...think someone on here had one for sale for about 1500 UKP ?
Anyway, like both versions but also think the Ree Flores is slightly better..
Yes, as its a demo release from the Detroit Free Press, based in Detroit obviously ;-)
La Crystal (Billy Ferrell) dunno needs verifying
It is detroit, just played it this very morning
Markie address in R&B Indies as Chicago???
No, Detroit based

So I wonder where and how this metal acetate originates from, if the Mosquitos are a "recent" bootleg ? Its definitely not a carvers thing and has metal underneath the vinyl ? Looks indeed old and rough if you know what I mean..
And here`s a bump for at least an answer to all the pm`s send to you lately. Just for a change.
I am waiting for my record to arrive since over six weeks now, let me know the status and/or send my payment back. Thank you.
