  1. still have the old cover, will upload later so u can look for yourself ;)
  2. One of m first c/ups ever back in the day (soul bros six) try soulville.de its run by a mate of mine and he has a copy for sale
  3. I am pretty sure I was second highest on that one. It had no soundfile but as I had their other 45 on Cabell already back then and I thought I give it a try. was amazed to find it on lew stanleys list a year or two later and to find out it was the one butch played as c/up. Think Mick H won that (around 2500 usd) but could be wrong. when deejaying in stockholm with ginger taylor around 2006/7 he had two copies with him as he had just won the one that was on manships..
  4. this pretty much is congruent and under lining what I got told by the former label owner of Kerston after I had tracked him down in 2011 and posted here
  5. just a reminder, soundfiles have been sent out. this ends in 52 minutes.
  6. as Steve just said plus all two Rodge Martin 45s on the label!
  7. I had problems uploading the soundfiles but will send them out later today so everyone who got in contact will receive them. In result I will prolong this till monday 6 pm UK time
  8. As this is much too shocking to deal with really I will just contribute once to this thread. I agreed on buying said record and made two mistakes I transferred to a wrong account, told the seller about my mistake the moment I realised it. I was hoping to get the issue solved with my bank and to be able to resend on time when in fact I should have really stepped off the deal the moment I noticed my mistake. Since then me and the seller were in contact. obviously though the seller was waiting and hoping for a quicker finish so I am not blaming her but me.
  9. Arthur Fenn told me a brilliant story....its not up to me to post so maybe he will post it when he sees this..
  10. I have a complete run of the label and the only blue rel. from the Sixties are both versions of Chex 1000 "Give Me A Cigarette" and "So I Can Forget". Having said that these are always dark blue not light blue as shown in that scan.
  11. Hi there, I decided to sell some of my acetates, mostly unreleased stuff...so watch this space as I have around a 100 different titles. Please pm if seriously interested and I will provide a picture and short sound snippet for you. Marvin Gaye "No Good Without You" Jobete 7 Inch (diff. more punchier , faster version) Min. offer 500 USD La Brenda Ben "Fugitive" Jobete 7 Inch (unrel. belter, easily the best by her including her two 45s on Gordy!) Min. offer 500 USD Unknown Group "One In A Million" Jobete 10 Inch (NYC adress) unknown and unrel. group and title Min. offer 300 USD Thats it for now, gonna let this run till sunday 6pm UK time
  12. I love and and collect the label I can vote for 6703..kinda remake to their first outing "You`ve Been Untrue" on Cameo Parkway (which I also love big time). This groups talent and output right from the start really is amazing. 6707 is a latin-esque instrumental that saw some recent atcion on R&B decks. Nth too special though IMVHO. Saw 6706 getting some action on UK Rare Soul decks in recent times but havent heard it so I cant comment on this as its the one thats still missing in my home..
  13. you may enjoy that ..
  14. Why then still bother ?
  15. That would have been 2010 or 2011 I think ? I believe its safe to say it was Paul Sadot who first integrated it constantly in his sets, trying to make the record popular. At least it was him I in 2009 heard it first play out. Despite his copy selling fast end of 2009/2010 it wasnt like a rush of people who were after it... its safe to say the record still pretty much was unknown to the vast majority of the Rare Soul scene. At least I can assure it was unheard of over here when I started playing it in 2010. Since then it always caused big interest whereever I played it, be it on the continent or the UK (incl its first airing at lifeline). Most of my English friends who came over to Berlin during the last years did not know the record before. John Harris really just took off the last three years.
  16. not only Tokyo my friend..its the flipside that gets it vote in 10709 Berlin as well !
  17. wow, what a nice find! the last copy that changed hands recently went for conciderably more than your starting price so I wonder what your copy will go for in the end. would it be okay to ask where you found yours, a recent find or have you had it for some time and just decided to sell it ?
  18. see my post in the jm mystery auction tpic...
  19. Think the boot is one-sided only though, or there are two re-issies (..) / boots about cause I remeber seeing one-sided carvers beinh advertised on ebay as well. Personally I always favoured the flipside more.. :o LOL
  20. Just on my way back in a train from Munich where I dejayed last night and played Mary Love's "Born to live with Heartache"....one of my favourite female Soul singers she was and will continue to be, what a sad loss! RIP.
  21. silver text = boot, golden text = orig real deal. simple as that. So...450 GBP....for a BOOT!....whats the superlative to "idiot" ?
  22. i bet he would send you a copy of said CD (if still available) or a refund without thinking twice.
