WAY OUT indeed is Ohio
Uptite is NYC (the yellow label that had Tail-Feathers on)
UA is NYC
Unart is not the same label, its a subsidary
Tangerine is defo West coast although it had a distribution deal with ABC (thru the Ray Charles connection..)
Tac-Ful I believe to be NYC thru the Roosevelt Grier connection (hew as from NYC, wasn`t he ?)
Spokane is NYC although Johnny Mae AMtthews "Worried About You" for example was recorded in Detroit
MGM was NYC based but of course leased a lot all across the US
Jet Set was NYC...maybe people get confused because of the Eddie Singelten/Washington connection...?
Gold Wax of course is as much Southern as it can get

Alright, I got a pm which I won`t make public but the main information in it is that our 45s have now defnitely been posted. So I will wait (again) and see if I will have received my 45 in say the next two weeks. Also wanna make clear that this guy is not the founder of the Windy City Soul Club and that the other DJ`s and people involved have nth to do with this whole situation of course and are not too amuzed about it themselves.
Marc
Keith, let`s go together to Chicago..of course the flight would be fourtimes as much as he stole off me but man I am just in that mood. Let`s go to one of his Windy City Soul Clubnights that he started to establish over there...dates to learn from his myspace site.... and I will guarantee this guy a real windy night in the Windy City.

Yesterday he said he had send them off now so I assume he indeed did intend to say he had just posted them off.
But the fact that most of us did not recieve any sort of tracking number at all and those who did receieved false ones just goes to show its pretty much safe to assume he hasn`t send off anything at all.
Already tempted to start a new bet....
Well, as if I were prophet...of course no tracking number has been forwarded to me.
Any of you Phil, Hermann, Keith, Ian, Mal etc has been forwarded a tracking number ?
?

I love an original test pressing or acetate whenever there is no other way to obtain the music be it because the actual released record is dead rare and very rarely obtainable or simply the tune has never been released as a 45.
I think must tend to do so..that may explain the "low" price in this particular case ?
I remember Tim brown once telling me that he always sold off the acetate when he had a chance to replace it with an released 45..I am not so sure I would do that though
Cotique is East Hartford, Connecticut.
true, only included Fania for that reason (and TICO).
Columbia is in, Golden Crest and Goldie should be added me thinks..
Not released, I knew there were two acetates of this, one belonging to Andy Rix (who played it first) and one belonging to me...did you buy yours off Andy Rix ? Can you post a scan to compare ?
TIA,
Marc
