  2. ...anyone in need for a new watch ?... you can order now...lines are busy... 001-5-4-3-2-1 or 001-6-3-4-5-7-8-9
  3. ..which was brought up only because "someone" said on here Kenny said to him he would not be selling his and therefore the one Manship has is not his...furthermore JM said that he only took the scan from kennys copy (with Kenny´s explicit permission to do so). I have enough grey hairs already and will let this thread rest in peace until the copy is being auctioned, won´t take part in it myself anyway...
  4. Must admit I am with Pete on that on. If I would use your statement to explain the real value of an old master painting it would only be worth the cost of paper and paint...surely not. Its been said before and can only be repeated so often: A record was only worth what the buyer was willing to pay for it. A record is only worth what the next buyer is willing to pay. Simple as that. Marc
  5. Whats the title on this one please as I just bought one of the net for next to nth.
  6. You can check also with Tim there as hes already over in sunny Florida
  7. Woudl Tim auction his copy via Manship ? I doubt it somehow seeing he has his own site and would save the commision. But even if he for what reason ever would let Manship auction his copy, why would they use a scan of Kennys copy ? I go for that "mysteriuos " french guy...
  8. Heard that story too...plus there is that Swedish guy (so therefor obvioulsy not JM`s client) whol said he had one along his complete Motown collection. Either way, I always doubted the fact that only two copies survived. Now we know at least of three. Wouldn`t be surprised if (after this auction) maybe another one drops out of the dark.. Marc
  9. Mak eme an offer Ian, white demo excellent
  10. that is nearly as good as my pizza trade, nice one!
  11. Tell you, it was a very "funny" and strange situation with him back in the day. He had just started to collect again but had to hide his new 45s at home because of the girl he was back then living with. About every two or three weeks he phoned me to "sell up" again, only to start again the week after..really really strange. Had the pockets full of dosh one week only to be totally stint the next week. Always had the next big deal and business idea just around the corner. One of his best was when he (not being able to talk German) founded a business language school shortly after the wall had come down in the wild east. It lasted a month if I remember correctly. Great memories. Marc
  12. How much you offer ? Off-line if you wish
  13. Back in 1990 about 50,- German DM plus a frozen pizza (think salami it was) and a pair of (unused) socks against Dena Barnes issue. Styrene of course. Mike Johannsen. Marc
  14. 1. Kenny B is not selling his copy 2. so there ain`t a copy up on Manships and so far there wonT in the near future 3. also Tim Brown is not selling his copy 4....so no copy up on Tims site 5. 18. Theres a nice live LP by her...offers a extra-long live take of "IWAVGY"..quite fancy that one. Forgot the label though as I gave the LP away as a present. Club-wise I am with Tommy, its the ABC 45 you gotta have...which I do of course but would let go
  19. Tell you what, I played this already 19 years ago and copies were not easy to be found back then. Could easily climb up to even higher value as everybody seems to need this 45 these days...
