  7. Hi Andy, that phone bell today morning was me btw The B o`B on the yellow label design I found three of lately, still very rare of course...just might have been lucky. never seen another Dewey except that certain ONE though.
  8. Plus mine makes it three in total...Carl`s by the way used to be my first copy of this record which I bought off Gary Spencer around 1993. My actual copy (mint) was found in the basement of an LA second hand shop by the way
  9. There have been two labels of that name..one was based in LA the other in NYC.
  10. Ah yeah, one way or the other though NB Sami that is, right ?
  11. yes, the one where in the word UPLOOK the letters OO are shown as a pair of glasses

  15. I guess your guess is right thats why I said theres one from NYC (also) as Jacos choice of words "BIG CITY is a LA label" wouldn`t have left space for others labels under that name coming from other cities than LA..
  16. Jeeeez, of course Dave....you know what, everytime I flip my copy for the indeed fantastic flip it had me thinking for goodness sake by whom else do I have this lovely tune...THE O`JAYS !!!! Three years in darkness...you relieved me Dave! Owe you a pinmt next time we meet!

  22. I am not sure wether playing a tune off a carvers acetate given from somebody in the process of and responsible for getting the bootlegs of said tune on the market would justify as the first "official play". Maybe it does ? However, if any interest at all I would like to know who and at which venue did play an original 45 for the first time. Marc
  23. Defo a Andy Dyson spin / reactivation...I bought one off him two yeras ago and been playing it also heavily ever since.
