  1. which equals about 1250 but sure not 2500 UKP ? Marc
  2. Has been really big about eight / seven years ago due to hevy rotation via Alan Handscombe at the Dome. It used to fetch up to a 800 UKP. I still have my copy and used to played it along Garlon Davis on Kick Off which shares the same backing track. Marc
  3. Horror news Hope he´s "fine" and soon back to normal....just had an email communication with him last night, obviuosly hrs bbefore the fire took place..
  4. I played them out, nearly seventeen years ago now. Firm spins of the Hip City in its early days...still love them today ! Marc
  5. I like it just because of that plus the fact its a real great group doublesider...flipside is an awesome deep tune. However you can`t argue about taste, can you Thanks god my copy was a little bit cheaper though when I bought it several years ago
  6. Your welcome mate !
  7. Richie, you have heard and liked that tune when I played it while you were over at the Hip City mate...which made me wonder as it was/is strongly missing the so much loved disco beat
  8. Less than 200 UKP as it was on ebay twice lately as buy it now at 395,- USD and found no customer. Marc
  9. Yes, Mr Recordshack from Vienna. Very sad he went down the bootlegger`s road already some years ago with his "D. Truelove". When I asked him back then why on earth he brings out bootleggs he told me " When I pay 1000 UKP for a record I have the right to do so and getting some cash flow back" Well, in that case and by using that strange philosophy a lot of us could bring out bootleggs... Not being a big fan of said tune and never could understand why someone would pay over a grand for it (especially when the instrumental is so much better IMO and easy to get at only 15 USD!) I feel sorry for all who have this tune as an essential part in their sets. Way too early to get re-rel. let alone being bottlegged... Marc

After having been after this tune for more years than I cared to count I (like so often..) found a copy of both at the same time. As I found myself being not so keen on these after 15 years of search I sold them both to a prof. record dealer. Marc
  11. Good job I kept my Swiniging Tigers "Snake Walk" when I obtained said tune on one of tehse acetates...something tiold me already its not the real deal...you live and learn. Agree though that the seller is among the best in Michigan. Marc
  12. Don`t think he would mind, estimating from just how much he wants it But of course, its up to you. Just an idea. Marc

Ah, must be more 6ts collectors over there ? Seriously though I can clearly imagine this being a fave one with the Japanese collectors...they always had taste! Marc
  14. Dave Thorley is looking for one (at least he was when he was over here in Berlin two weeks ago) so it might be a good idea to send him a pm in case your sales pitch gets overlooked by him ? Marc

Wow, what a terriffic double-sider, always been after one since George Sharpe had it on a tape twenty years ago. Finally bought one last year after having missed the first copy I ever saw for sale in 2006! Marc
  16. Oh, and by the way: Just found a cheap copy of an Album by him and the Disco Symphony Orchestra..no good .

Fantastic tune, one of my personal fave Motown (or Tamla in this case) tunes ever. If you like this try the flipside to the Magnificent 7 on Dial for a change
  18. Always use(d) to "mix" it with Frankie Crocker in my sets. Got it a while back quite cheap at 20 USD. Fab tune (Pt1 that is which is the one I prefer). Marc
  19. Oh my, just saw this thread now. 20 minutes earlier I was just reading the Keith discography, one of Eddie Singelton other labels. RIP. Marc

Hi Matt, if you would only be still on raresoulforum you would maybe remember that I had this and described it as a nice R&B 45, not a "bomb" but a nice decent 45. Sold it along my other 45s on Merging for 150 UKP iif I remember correctly
  21. You are spot on (again) Chalky, it was Pat Brady who found/had a box of only 50 copies. That plus the maybe three /four copies that cropped up via ebay over the years and the one Lew Stanley once had (who again told me BEFORE he had that one copy he never ever had one, not even seen one...), thats about it quantitywise. I had two and sold them both at 600 UKP. Wouldn`t mind one back but will wait until the price drops (wishful thinking, eh ?) Marc
  22. Oh, and one thing to add especially for the future...I am not a big fan of discussing all these kinda things online. I don`t understand (especially if its been only a week like in this case) why people have to rush to hang out the dirty washing in public. Most of the time it results in nth good, both parties will only end up with hardened opinions and maybe even harsh feelings against each other... Marc
  23. From a sellers point if view: If the soundfile came from the actual 45 (and so far I have no reason to doubt this) I can`t see where there is an attemt to rip you off Paloma. If someone buys a VG or so 45 on the net without holding and looking at the actual copy it its down to the buyers very own risk. I have done it myself (junkie that I am) and sometimes I have been lucky, sometimes not... on the other hand (and only speaking for myslef now), why not show your gratitude as a seller and cancell and refund the transaction. I do it everytime a buyer is not satisfied. I am currently in the process of getting a record worth a grand back because the buyer is not satisfied with its condition. I stated "ex but plays better" but its the buyers money so if he/she says its not ex who am I to start an argument ? Life`s too short and relationships are too important...just my thoughts and point of view of course Marc
  24. Well, I know where I will be found at in 2 hrs time
  25. Anything between 800 and 1000 UKP depending on who is selling and condition obviously. Marc
