Yes, definitely one hell of a great tune!

As with these acetates you can never be sure wether there is not already a small area where the vinyl has lost its contact with the metal I would never ever wash any acetate...the risk that some water gets between the vinyl and the metal is just too big to take IMHO. Once the the process of the vinyl loosing contact with the metal has started there is nth to stop it..

Think that this is exactly all what Pikeys Dog was trying to express with his review, a different taste on certain tunes (only by the way..). But from the essence of what you just said I understand your point of view seems to be in reality quite similar to mine. Marc

Think you can`t really disqualify members (people) by classifying other (member)s as being more broad minded only because they cherish certain tunes more or even regard them as classics whereas others do not. IMO Marc

Hi Ted, so you say the faster version (Kodell) is rarer then the slower one (Cameo-Parkway) ..?..just wanting to clarify as Chalky had them the other way round with Kodell being the slower version. TIA Marc

The other way around Chalky, the so-called slower version is the Cameo-Parkway Publishing Company one. Kodell is the faster one which towards the end kinda "falls down" iof you know what I mean. Marc

Can any body tell me the value of Falcons feat. Wilson Pickett "Billy The Kid" on a UK London please (not rel. in the US) ? Also I need to know which is the rarer out of the two Sonny Fishback rel. on Outasite. I always had thought the Cameo-Parkway Publ. rel. was the rarer of the two but the guides seem to change from year to year (2003 one being rarer 2005 the other one :wacko: ) ? TIA Marc

Hi Miff, don`get me wrong please...yours looks good. But if the one I am on about is a windows paint work as well they must have done an extremely good job. Having said so on closer inspection I just noticed the label credits Groovesville music which of course would be right for Stax # 130 JJ Barnes but not for a Lou Pride 45...so maybe indeed its a paint job and they forgot to replace Groovesville with Suemi ! Theres always sth..

I have just seen a scan of Lou Pride "Im Coming Home" on Stax UK # 130 ? Can this be real as Stax 130 is JJ Barnes "Baby Please Come Back Home" ? Never heard about Lou Pride on British Stax ? Confused..

Rod, in all honesty but how can you know that all former transactions with Simon where problem-free ? You have been his advocate all the time then ? Furthermore why do you only give this bonus credit to him and not me also ? I guess there must be over a hundered+ transactions I did via Soul Source without ever having a problem. Again: I have asked at my post office and there is no way you can receive a parcel any place outside Germany that was posted on an afternoon just 48hrs ago..but again as the seller will start an investigation via the German post we will be able to proove this as yet another lie soon by having the information when you actually got this package delivered. I myself have Manships # 5 as well, I myself saw the copy that was send to you. It is the original with the big not staggered ARCHER stamp. As stated over and over again by now. Its quite easily to detect what you are trying to achieve by repeating false statements over and over again. But let me just once more state loud and clear: You were never delivered a bootleg at all. You got confimred an original, you paid for an original, you got delieverd an original. You claimed before you got the original delivered to have recieved a bootleg. Thats the situation and that is the situation in which I for sure will not take any responsibilty. I won`t ask you now to solve this with the seller directly as I tried so since you started and obviously failed. So you go on but rest assured I won`t pay this thread no more attention. Well exactly. Thats why I said that theres no chance on earth the buyer already had received the record when he actually started saying the record is a bootleg! Further proof for that is that he did not have the sellers adress which he would have had would he actually have had received the package (..). Wrong. I did not "admit to having" the records..most of them were mint anyway so there was no need for me to grade them. But as the seller had lost contact with the "scene" since over ten years I helped him pricing the 45s. The seller did not want to have his contact details in the ad. As mine were not given and every potential buyer who pm´ed me was given the sellers email and paypal contact details in private it is indeed very much the same as Joe Dunlop or Raving Mad who put their own address on their ads! Of course I did get myself inovolved here...as a friend who helped a mate who wanted to sell some Soul 45s by putting his ad on here. Maybe you have found yourself in an equal position sometime.
