  1. Congratulations for fifteen years of quality delivering Matt, serious hard work. Respect man. Only made it to my 7th "anniversary" at the radio myself... Marc
  2. what a bargain on the groovettes...and before anyone comes along and states "recession"... look at the result for Court Davis and take a deep breath ;-)
  3. Demo never been booted, issue still rarer. In fact in the days before ebay it was considered being VERY rare. Marc
  4. Trying to survive definitely right for today ! Been playing this 06 to 08 and always got fabulous feedback for it...maybe a tad to rare to really take off. The current hot spin by him is "trackdown" though...also a great piece that came out with two different flipsides by the way. Marc
  5. yeah, paid 60 for it and sold it at 600 UKP on ebay maybe eight years ago...found a replacement copy on ebay the very same minute as buy it now for 100 USD.... so you are right in a way, its all so reative....
  6. "condition, condition, condition"...to quote one known dealer. the two copies you seem to refer to were VG (and looked worse...) https://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php?pagenum=1&searchtext=eddy+hughes+&incldescr=&currency=&sortord=ddate&thumbs= I am on about a mint to mint minus copy though...which should always be the guidance when putting values on records.
  7. what adisgrace really to send such abusive and disrespectful pm`s to someone like you Mike who puts so much time and effort in what has become one of the major engines of todays scene. respect somehow seems to be totally missing ... as always the case with people whose ego is bigger than their own shadow... Just banned him from my myspace site as well. Marc
  8. Absolutely right, both leading the way in their own individual ways. A bit like the roman consuls back in the day before Cesar when always two of them shared the power to rule the empire ;-)
  9. Is therer really ? Our politicians keep on telling us "recession is already over"... Seriously, recession or not recession, I doubt you will get a Eddy Hughes in mint minus for under a grand.
  10. Eddy Hughes in mint will cost you about 1000 UKP at least....Edwin Starr is a tricky one, bought one off ebay (mint!) for 180 USD a couple of months ago, JM had one finishing around 350 lately...
  11. Andy Dyson at the Hip City last year, started his last blinding set at 3 and finished after 8 am...must go down in the history of NS as one of the longest sets ever as well Tim Brown with his second set at the Hip City in April...wonderfull stuff combined in an awesome great flow! Butch almost everytime...
  12. loved it from the first minute on...was hoping they would release it as a 7" "one day" ;-) Marc
  13. ...not to forget the Capitol bootleg. Marc
  14. 400/500 UKP for a mint one. The flipside is worth a million pounds alone. Marc
  15. ...as its a fact that he is now absolutely happy with the results (thru soul source). And the commission Ian was allowed to make was low (way under 20 % as was wrongly suggested). Marc
  16. A Twisted Wheel tune. Re-activated R&B spin a few years ago. Should be brought back to sleep for a while already IMO. Marc
  17. Hi young man, still around in Berlin ? We thought you wanted to come around last week(end) ? By the way, you and Polly missed a hell of three great parties on friday and saturday... Marc
  18. Well Dave, you always been a man with immaculate taste
  19. ..in fact terrible LOL!
  20. To say the only ones missing in my collection are ones that Butch has and plays is doing me a bit too much of an honour Simon...still, the honour is received and accepted mate
  21. Even if Ian took a acommission, where`s the problem ? Its the owner of the 45 who obviously was satisfied with the amount(s) being offered and it were the buyers who were offering the amount they thought would be okay with them and their wallets. If those who shouted the loudest would swear on the bible that they never ever sold a record on for more then they actually paid I would call 50 % of them being untrue... Its all a bit very hypocrite IMVHO. And most of all I don´t understand why its not being given a rest at least until Ian is back to defend himself. No judgement shall be done without the defendant in the room so to speak. For gods sake... Marc NB and no, none of my four wants were availabale at all LOL!
  22. slow indeed...but awesome. I wouldn`t be too sad if it doesn´t leave my collection I must admit. And your column Steve...is a very good read. In fact one of the many many highlights of ITB! Marc
