  1. Not really that impressive no mello souls ?????
  2. So a record of 2 copy's can't be classed as a Grail, ? And whos even mentioned about listening to it think people on this thread are discussing the sale of the said record if you want to be negative and a spoiler don't bother commenting on the thread at all !!!
  3. Could be cashflow, the buyer bought it from manship for thousands and to be able to have several thousand tied up in a vinyl record and leave it sitting there to me the owner must be well off anyway or has fallen on hard times
  4. Maybe surprising to you Pete but a lot of people still find certain topics interesting even though they might have been discussed a few years ago, I myself am very interested and curious as to what this grail will go for and the background of the record and artist
  5. Thanks everyone for the advice, I will try Jim Russell's ( fingers crossed) and definitely Euclid records
  6. going on a trip to New Orleans can anyone recommend any record shops to do some digging
  7. Looks like a run of the mill 70s acetate, I had a similar one with Harley hatcher ( al de lory ) discotheque alibi on
  8. Massive favourite of mine
  9. On a similar note I bought a motown green and white demo tmg 652 the Isley bros why when the love is gone, when I put it in my collection of motown demos (around150ish) which were all in order I found I already had tmg 652 Take me in your arms and rock me , and guess what was on the other side !! I felt like a right donut but then again at least I had 2 copies
  10. Where was the pub / venue mal ? I live in Sheldon and heard nowt
  11. I'm a brummie and haven't heard of it ? , if my bearings are right it's down by the custard factory in digbeth which is a very retro area with shops with 60s/70s fashion and allways a busy area so if it's situated there you might get a few plastic soulies in lol
  12. Oh and just noticed a yum Yums on there as well now , so we might as well incorporate the two lol, I reckon 10k and 3500k
  13. As we normally do a thread on the real big hitters when they come up on the bay ,what this going to go for it's at £1427 with 9 days left , I reckon 10k at the silly money things are selling for at the moment !
  14. Wouldn't it just be an idea to put it up for offers in sales !!! Reading through your posts Steve you seem to be trying to hype it up and really angling for a sale
  15. Wasn't the seller the same guy who sold the timi yuro been discussed on here
  16. What was the john Gary tune called I'm sure I had something by him on a black RCA issue
  17. Try post 6 lol
  18. Quite sure pete smith had a Belgian Brunswick copy of jh a couple of years ago
  19. Yeah it was a thread I started on a similar thing called who discovered what, I love it when the guys come out with bygone stories of rare vinyl finds etc
  20. Yes but because it's a 100 per cent soul record doesn't mean everyone likes it, there's soul records I love and there's soul records I don't like, I've loved soul music for 40 years have you never listened to a soul record and thought I don't like that and skip to the next tune, well that's me and jd bryant
  21. It gets me there's two not so rare timi yuros on e bay for £1600 and £1200 and sitting right next to them is a yellow London demo for a grand !!! , think I know which one I'd pick
  22. Neither are my cup of tea, sat in the car earlier with some compilation cd I made was on , then bobby Hutton lend a hand came on it proper chocked me up the pure emotion of the whole song voice etc , to me this knocks spots off timi yuro & jd Bryant to me that's a proper soul tune
  23. It's frickin garbage same as jd Bryant both crap, only saying like
  24. Must start wearing my glasses more then again I was only a day late lol
