  1. Will it have again fabricated quotes from collectors and dancers?
  2. Noticed this morning that the record is slightly warped. Doesn't affect play at all in any way but it's there. Have amended price.
  3. I bet you'd still get somebody asking if it's a bootleg.
  4. It looks like the first bootleg from the 1970s. So I guess it actually is one. Seller got plenty of other boots for sale. Many jamaican ones as Bob said. Anyway, I'm sure this beauty will fetch $$$. I don't think I've ever seen it before!
  5. Still very in demand record. No 45 release anywhere else in the world. Almost impossible to find now. EDWIN STARR - I JUST WANTED TO CRY - GERMAN TAMLA MOTOWN SOLD £80 £65 including 'signed for' post worldwide! sleeve VG+, Vinyl EX, slight warp (definitely not affecting play at all, doesn't jump, you can't hear it, you only see it) PM please to reserve. Payment Paypal only, as gift preferred
  6. Bonus 45 only available to first 500 boxes and already sold out. So I guess more than 500 boxes already gone.
  7. Somebody calling himself "Alan Godfrey" just sent me a request to add him on Podcast. Too much of a conincidence. The c*nt is probably on Soul Source.
  8. Well, it says "soulfulrecords.com" on the label of the bootleg. www.soulfulrecords.com sells an awful number of pressings. A certain Mr Alan Godfrey from Bridgend is registered (Lookup whois.com for all details), therefore safe to assume he runs the site. Also, a Mr. Alan Godfrey from Bridgend is among the Ebay sellers of the Combinations bootleg, his id is "soulful-records12" or so, and again sells an awful number of bootlegs. So there might be a link? Some may remember that back in 2007 a bootlegger was raided, counterfeit records and CDs worth thousands and thousands were seized (there's a thread about that somewhere on Soul Source). Name of the bootlegger was Alan Godfrey from Wales. Coincidence? Might be completely wrong tho....
  9. There RCA UK dubs of Tony Hestor. Same kind of dubs as the ones that made it on Grapevine eventually. Did RS play them off original acetates or of said dubs?
  10. Sorry, I don't like it. Mediocre and amateurish. Doesn't go anywhere. Not very talented singer and a rather dull backing. Wouldn't be surprised if this was very rare.
  11. new podcast for November "Sounds From The Shelter Vol. 11 - Even More 70s" To wrap up my "Play Box" series, November's podcast is the third and final installment of my 70's 45 goodies. 12. Ah, Joey DeLorenzo! Fantastic Northern record to dance to.I love it and always will. Never went to the Dome myself but heard Flynny spinning it quite a few times all over Europe. Always filled the floor to capacity. I remember all those rumours and conspiracy theories flying around in Northern Soul internet back then. "Levine tailormade production", "recent press" etc. Best one was a guy who insisted it is an unissued Kevin Rowland cut from the Dexys days (tho it sounds a bit like him doesn't it?)
  13. OCD (Original CD only) question: I have volume 1 and 2 of "Prevue Soul on CD" from 1990/1991. Nice collections of new indie soul productions incl stuff like donald alber "hardes part" or brotherly love "whole lotta you in me". I'm thinking about selling them but was wondering, are they worth anything? Do people collect original CDs?

  16. very sad news. one of my alltime favourite artists. went to see him live twice. both gigs were exceptional. such a humble yet larger-than-life man. R.I.P.
  17. Thanks, went down pretty well from what I remember. I wish it was my efficiency. Playlist came up in the Google search I did. I posted it on Soul Source 12 years ago.
  18. Nice one! Will I be hearing some of them in Leipzig in a few weeks?
  19. Funny, was going through my CDs last sunday and came across the 2001 and 2002 TOS CDs. I know I dj'd twice for you but couldn't remember the years. Quick google search revealed first time was august 2000. Here's what I played back then, very very happy days indeed! 21. Which european events did you attend over the last 4/5 years?
  22. You're sure the LP was first? I know both came out in 1986 but thought 45 was before album making it the very first vinyl appearance of Magic Touch.
