  1. Agree. Jackie probably went to a UK 45 collector. Plenty of US Kapp copies around. And even italian Pye (or Piccadilly?). Never thought this is worth more than 20/30. New lesson learnt. Ike Strong obviously no longer an under-the-radar tune. Was 70 quid on Mr Fish's list last september. Is it an easy to find tune or rather tricky to locate?
  2. Yes, I did. Just waiting for payment to send off record.
  3. If all originals were vinyl then Gogs copy is a reissue isn't it? Never heard of label coming off a vinyl press.
  4. Is Ebay seller's name Guiseppe Salamone? Then avoid him at any cost. Low life scum. Didn't know that belgian rip off's are still around in days of Paypal chargebacks.
  5. It's hardly a version, he only nicked the intro.... The lyrics are based on or shall I say inspired by the "farmer and the snake" fable by Aesop. "The snake" in the Northern room was an insult to many and not the slightest bit funny. DJ in question was TheJan btw.
  6. Firm favourite with the 60's guys and girls over here for the last 15/20 odd years. I know Keb Darge started playing it when he reinvented himself as an oldies DJ, didn't he?
  7. Timebox - Beggin'. Hated it from the first time I heard it. Yet I have to buy a german Deram copy one day for my Krautsville collection.
  8. +/- a ton i'd say. never seen an issue. best version IMHO.
  9. It's ironic that one person posting in this thread stopped answering my PM's for no reason after he showed interested in a record I had for sale/trade. Step forward, Mr. Marc Forrest
  10. updated again. Still free post on multiple purchases
  11. You, me, everybody, anybody, nobody. I hate rankings.
  12. Well, I question that. because it's just your opinion, not a fact. Or was there an election I missed?
  13. First batch ending in a few hours. second one tomorrow.
  14. Is there a ghetto in St. Petersburg?
  15. My copy plays very quiet too. Didn't notice that much of a sound distortion tho.

CLIFFORD CURRY - AIN'T NO DANGER/CAN'T GET HOLD OF MYSELF - PAMA UK - 20 SOLD Fantastic uptempo in-your-face Northern Soul. vg++ condition, small ld on flip. see scans Audio files for all tracks here +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ P&P from Germany for 1 or both discs: Standard 3.20 signed for 5.25 Paypal only, as gift if possible.
  17. Thing is, it's just a sweeping statement w/out any facts to back it up. Not that Manship meant it to be a solid statement, it's his usual OTT sales talk crap.
  18. Who cares? There's no such thing as World's #1 Northern Soul DJ.
  19. David, sorry. Cover ain't mine, nicked scan off Ebay. It's a french EP currently on offer from a guy in Paris @ 200 Euros Did a bit more research and agree with Pete, unlikely they're same outfit. I guess the Jobete/Motown/Detroit link made me thinking they might be the same. BTW, mine's a nice german issue
  20. Does anyone know if the Lollipops on Impact and RCA are the same group? I seem to recall reading that somewhere but am not too sure.
  21. I just hope they won't include the original take of Sandpipers "lonely too long". Horrible version.
  22. Dean, spot on. it's braggin. but James bynum just passed it.
  23. Thanks Pete. Much appreciated! I wonder what I'll get for my records. Somehow I struggle to get decent prices these days. I mean more watchers on Specials than James Bynum. What is this world coming to?
